I think the top 3 teams are all in much better shape than us. Anyone who denies that it blinded by loyalty.
We're going to do very well to better last season in terms of league position. We should be able to better our style and goals for column quite easily though.
Taking DDG aside (assuming he is now off) I still can't think of a single Utd player who'd get in Jose's best XI.
We've not spent wisely over last 4 windows.

This seems a very one eyed article. De Gea is not available for selection. Massively weaker. Didn't bother reading after that
------
Well you may as well go finger yourself than make the stupid comment that you did.
We have definitely improved overall. My only concern is if De Gea leaves. And don't forget the window is open till the month end.
Everyone will agree midfield is much improved which was the biggest problem for many tears. In front we have added Depay who is young and has shown great talent though not proven in the league. If you say that's not an improvement then any club can't say they have improved unless they sign a player proven in the league.
All the super stars who are are gone haven't been great last season. Di Maria was good for only a couple of months in the beginning. That was the same period we had the worst start for years. RVP was out of form. Falcao was a total disappointment. Rooney was played out of position for majority of time. Hence Rooney as CF and Depay can be seen as vast improvement.
And still we have not kicked a ball yet. Let us wait till September and see who goes out or who comes in and if the current lot are showing any signs of improvement or decline. Have patience guys.
Our kit looks better though, thats got to count for something,right...?
Much like Arsenal I think one of the keys to our improvement will be to keep the squad fit - not even Chelsea standard fit, just not as comical as last season.
It's no surprise we started to improve last season once we moved to a back four and the injuries weren't as bad for us - similarly Arsenal's injuries improved and their lineups became more settled and performances and results improved.
Not sure whether either team will have that luxury, but if they do it could make some difference to what the top four will look like next season.

I was just going to say that.
Adidas didn't bring us many title successes last time round though. In fact it was only once we switched to Umbro that we won it.
Love the new kit though. Seen plenty of them around today in Manchester.

Seen more Liverpool and Nottingham Forest shirts in Manchester today than City shirts (sports shops not included).
Even in Stockport I see more United shirts than City shirts these days.

Funny no o ne mentions what a shocking start we had and massive change of squad at start of last season. Injuries were key to us only finishing only 4th. We could easily have finished 2nd last season.
Fellaini was key to a lot of how good we were last season. It will be such a shame if people go to their graves not understanding just what he did during our best period last season. Working hard to push the whole team shape forward so the creative players had room to work with.
If he doesn't play as much this season were gonna have to find a different way to replicate the good parts of last season. Pedro might be the answer because he works very hard and presses well. We need players who will work very hard up top and get the creative players doing their stuff.
We're weaker without RVP because he's no worse than Rooney and if one was injured you always had one to come in and get some goals. We don't have that luxury anymore.
Hafi
Do you think we can still win the 14/15 league?
We still have Fellaini in the squad and I think he will be LVG's plan B. We have seen last year that LVG is not rigid on his formations and game plans.
I will be more than hapy if we get Pedro or some one of his like and a good GK if De Gea is gone or not playing.
Fair enough Abdul.
Think we'll get Cillesen. Not sure if he's good enough.

Go to their graves?
Lol you're such a drama Queen Robb. I like Fellaini and massively appreciated what he did, but I think with a stronger midfield he will be relied upon less.
But that doesn't mean I never want to see him start or used as a plan B cos he's damned effective.
Good man Patriarch.
Regarding the 'graves' thing, I often post things with my tongue in my cheek. That was one. I'm always cracking up with laughter when I post a lot of my stuff
Robb, If we lose De Gea and replace with Cillesen it should not be a big disappointment in GK dept. However there are only a handful who can really replace De Gea.

............
I think we won the league from game 11 to game 32 last season
DTKF Carrick played in most of those games
Our most important player, Hafi.
We have improved massively defensively:-
1) All our defenders are fit. That's unbelievable in itself.
2) New RB
3) A fit LB as well as cover from Blind who won't be needed as much in midfield.
4) Quality, energy and experience in CM that was arguably our biggest problem area last season.
Our attack is weaker this season but not by as much as some might think.
1) ADM, RVP, Falcao gone. They may have had disappointing seasons but the squad is much weaker without them - especially since all would almost certainly have played better this season imo.
2) However, LVG knows the players better and they, in turn, know each other and LVG's 'philosophy' better.
3) Thus, the team should not be so disjointed this season and we should create more chances as a result.
Still, there is a lot of pressure on Memphis this season which is not ideal considering his age and time needed to settle etc. Pedro would be handy...
Considering this time last year we hadn't signed anyone yet, I think we are in much better shape going into this season, all things considered.
