We got it off that poisonous witch more than anyone. She wouldn't grant Lairds a commercial ship building licence because she didn't like ship building. There's 2000 people signing on. She encouraged businesses to move down South. She wanted to put the City into a managed decline and then there was Hillsborough.
Lots of English people have no parent born in England. London more so than most. Ridiculous logic
Despicable poisonous witch. Anyway hope she's enjoying being spit roasted by Hitler, Mussolini, Pol Pott and Pinochet

Maybe in England but I think the Geordies and Mackams would probably disagree.

Think we can all agree that Thatcher hated anyone with an accent.
Taking hillsborough aside knotty, she held other parts of the UK in just as much contempt as liverpool, take the North east, she destroyed the consett steelworks, shipbuilding on the Tees, Tyne and wear, not to mention all the coal mines, heavy industry is not something Tories care much about, to this day

The woman had issues with all heavy industry, mainly down to her fear of the unions. In Merseyside the docks went, the shipyard went, the mines in St Helens closed, numerous factories relocated. We all got kicked down by her, what she wasn't expecting was for us to kick back at her.
I'd love to know which part of Liverpool is inspired by New York, maybe the crime rates?
Got to disagree with a few of the points made by my fellow United fans here.
For a start, United fans often disassociate themselves from England. Maybe not so much now, but certainly over the last couple of decades. Hence chants of 'Argentina!' and 'Republik of Mancunia' flags.
Secondly, I can never understand mocking Liverpool fans who talk about their history. History is part of what makes a club. So is 'aura'. United have a special aura too, no question about it.
Thirdly, it's often overlooked/conveniently forgotten that we went 26 years ourselves without winning the title. I'm sure many United fans still felt their club was special during those years. I know everyone in my house did.
And lastly, I see a German flag being waved in the singing section at every home game.

You mean the op that attacks Liverpool fans? You dumb fecker
I've always noticed many club fans that disassociate themselves from England, and I've wondered why..
I'm proud to be a British citizen and I've lived in this country all of my life. I know I'm not English, but I'm proud to have come from here.

I find it harder to be proud by the day TBH. Britain and its politicians/human rights activists etc make it impossible for Britains to be British.

Term needs race riots, Police fitting people up, Empire and us arming Sadaam to feel proud.
Claiming you arent English because of Thatcher's policy on industry is ridiculous. As said elsewhee, it's no different from other parts of England.
Scousers certainly appear to have a feeling of being the most put upon people in the country, there is certainly some legs in the theory of a victim complex.
Ahh that easily measurable quality 'how much Thatcher ruined us'

Hardly helped themselves with the militant tendency throughout the city, why would any industry want to set up in a city where they would rather strike than work?

Stalker crusade The only time I have anything to do with you is when you launch your hate towards Liverpool. I go onto the Spurs board to see if there's any thoughts on yesterday's match from Spurs fans, and what do I see? It's the Liverpool stalker
