I think Vukcevic as Coyle is abroad

Did he not sign for Blackburn or is that the move that fell through?

bwfcforever: The winger is from abroad (apparently). OC is supposed to be face to face with the mystery player to try and persuade him to come to England.

I don't think Bentley is good enough for us and has always struggled with his pace. IMO OC has gone to Benfica and is trying to get Moreno back on loan.

............

this sounds like it could be more true...

for one, it will be a loan deal - somthing the club love.

and the only time bentley would set foot in the reebok is when playing for another club, i think hes one of these players that thinks he is much to big for bolton...

We're not selling him before he's even played for us.

Hope it is not Moreno he is not that good and not exciting at all. I firmly believe it will bf ngog and that's all folks.

funny how coyle (apparently) only needs a day in spain....i can see how the conversation would go now...

coyle: hi i want your player please.
other clubs bosses: we want 6 million.
coyle: i only want to pay 3
other clubs manager: can we not compromise then.
coyle: no....bye.
otehr clubs manager: nice meeting you.

OR

player: il come but i want 50 grand a week
coyle: il give you 20
player: can we meet in the middle
coyle: no, il move on...i have 'other' targets
player: ok, bye.

this is the way it looks with us....

tried and failed speech coming - mark my words....

Rebel? Do you actually derive any pleasure from supporting Bolton or are just not happy unless you are unhappy?

I think Coyle has done excellently this transfer window, considering his net spend has been roughly nil. I for one am glad he hasn't paid over the odds, we'd end up with a huge wage bill and some more deadwood.

i agree, but all this talk of pushing for europe that everyone keeps doing is not going to happen.

my point is, we always say we will not be 'held to ransom' but we offer below what the clubs valuation of a player is or below what other clubs are offering (in most cases)

im my opinion....if a club offers say 5 million for a player or offers whatever wages to the player (as in SWP's case)

then the player MUST be worth that, or other clubs wouldnt be willing to pay it?

a player is only worth what poeple are willing to pay him....and in our case we constantly undervalue players to our detriment - they go to other clubs who will pay them the wages they want.

SWP has gone to a tin-pot relagation fodder club becasue we was offering him a championship standard wage, i dont blame him.

but unless we speculate what certain players will be worth to the club - we are never going to reach the top ten regulary again are we?

although - that said, i dont think the club WANT to progress....think they are happy just staying up, like gartside (apparently) told big sam - 'we dont want to qualify for the champions league' - i know now we never will, but given a bit of ambition europe IS realistic, but i dont think the club want to be there.

like i said - tried and failed speech on its way....

if im wrong, you can all rip in to me and il be happy.

we MAY get ngog, but these other players we are talking about will not happen - seriously, they wont. we get the same old routine every transfer window...

Again Rebel, our wage bill doubled in just 5 years. If you think that's how Coyle conducts business, when it will be Gartside who most probably discusses contracts you need help. Your like Bob Willis, your only happy when your unhappy and moaning, an it's not us being over positive, it's us being realistic.

Firstly what if were trying to negotiate their asking price and their not willing?

posted on 31/8/11

So because we offered SWP £45k a week and QPR offered £70k a week we are cheapskates?

..............

we wont be, we dont work that way....instead we get the famous 'we wont be held to ransom' speech....

other clubs seem quite happy to pay the going rate for players though.

i mean, whats the diffrence with having say an extra few million on the wage bill and finishing 7th....

or having a squad of players who are only there becasue nobody else will have them (hence why we could afford them - SWP springs to mind) and finishing 2 points above relagation...

Rebel, you are a boring idiot. Go away.

...............

yes....

and it think it was we offerd 30k - PATHETIC amount for a seasoned england international, and they offerd 60.

we offerd HALF what he wanted, think the club knew he would refuse to be honest....they could give the tried and failed routine again....like the pathetic offer we made for veloso last year.....remember that, get us all excited them BANG....

We offered SWP £45k a week, if QPR HAVE OFFERED £70k a week, MUCH MORE THAN HE'S WORTH THEN THAT'S THEIR ISSUE.

You've spent the whole window saying we wnt sign anyone an were going to get this speech, well we've signed 5 players with a 6th on the verge. They are all good players with PL experience, if there is a player who wouldn't massively improve our team, and wouldn't be a guranteed starter next season, then why pay him £3m a year, and yes I'm talking about SWP. he would be our top earner by double and he wouldn't even start next year, where's the sense in that?

If you were in charge at bwfc Rebel you would burn the club down because you dnt think enough and are too negative.

Our wage bill is double what it was 5 years ago, our debt has doubled in that time, we've been spending beyond our means for 8 years and you want us to coninue? You are barmy.

well we've signed 5 players with a 6th on the verge.

Don't undersell us HH! It's 6 with a 7th on the verge!

NRC, Mears, Eagles, Pratley, Tuncay, Boyata & N'gog.

Very good business.

HH. Look RR is pessimistic so he is not disappointed and so if anything does transpire he will be pleasantly surprised! Chillax and don't take too much notice.

You mean when Megson was in charge 3 years ago... I think your a WUM rebel. No-one is this moronic in their thinking when they claim to be a bwfc fan an understand how much money we've spent over the years maintaining our PL status.

How would you feel next year when SWP would be earning £70k a week and he I sat on the bench? Money well spent?

posted on 31/8/11

I forgot we signed Boyata, 6 going on 7, Jesus we've had a great set of summer signings!! :D

or you could say lee may never recover, never be the same player again? who knows....lee may be ruined!

if so, next season....we are back in this position....

Getting back to the article. Is Rodrigo not in international duty with the under 21's in Georgia. Can't imagine Coyle has flown to Georgia on transfer deadline day.
