Spurs have done well out of Southampton over the years i.e. Chivers, Bale, Richards and now Toby and Poch. Good header he scored the other week too, as you say, a class act.

He has shades of Nesta.

I remember years ago when we were linked with him, he looked like a poor man's Vermealen. Must just be the PL that suits him or something, he was great last season and has been a great buy for Spurs unfortunately

quality signing.

What a signing he has been. Reads the game so well, heads it, great composure on the ball, has pace, a threat from set pieces and his cross field diagonal balls over to the left wing are a pleasure to watch.

Its also no coincidence we are seeing the best out of his partner Vertonghen. Apart from having the 2nd best defence in the league we also give very few chances to the opposition.

Alternierend in my opinion is the best CB in the league behind Kompany.

He's the signing of the season, when you weigh up the price and impact.

Was discussing this in the pub. Would say he's world class.

Not many better cb's. Even the likes of Thiago Silva/ Sergio Ramos are no better imo.

hilarious City are spending £30m on the likes of Mangala and Otamendi when we got Tobes for £11m

Otamendi has looked good tbf

Otamendi has been shocking. His performance v Juve was appalling. Toby is a far better player.

Probsbly the signing of the lot. Even more so than Ali. Has completely transformed not only our defence but also Vertonghen. Is there a better centre back partnership in the prem at this moment in time? I think it would be hard to find one.
