Episode was better......overal arc complete trash
Also looks like fan fiction half the time - direction and editing is horrendous.
As we have been talking just a couple of flashy memorable scenes cover up the lack everywhere else. It's a shame as there were elements that were good, like the double agent, shame they only really played on it with 5 minutes left in the series. And this goes back to basically 2 episodes wasted.
Also looks like fan fiction half the time - direction and editing is horrendous.
_______
Kinda like that remake of the ANH Vader vs Kenobi fight but with some Riverdale style story telling wrapped around it
Should have actually made this the OB1 show - just imagining having those Ob and Ani scences every episode, as many would not have watched the clone wars, but no instead we need a 10 year old girl in the story......
Simon, I said earlier, and it’s just amazing Kath Kennedy gets away with it, but they call the show Kenobi, saying it’s the rematch of the century, and then during filming she decides they need other central characters, cos they are on screen too much.
Ffs!! So why call it Kenobi?
And now as a result you’re screwwing up the lore, patting yerselves on the back for hack writers, inserting their ‘stories’ to retcon what George intended.
Well done.
Now we got Leia knowing Kenobi and we have to accept that as is.
Honestly my man last week completely broke me, I thought a semi good one would have got me back onboard this week - really couldn't enjoy it, so annoyed with this whole thing and how bad what should have been the best thing from the Disney since........well Mandolorian Instead it's battling BOB and the sequels for the biggest mess from Lucas over the last 20 years
Is a head scratcher how they are going to work around the leia kenobi link.

Well if they give a sheet about the continuity, and based on how lazy they generally are, this could be saved with the classic head injury near the end of the episode. And then maybe her waking up in the palace with both her dad and Ob1 looking over her, and she's like "Dad.......", Looks at Ob1 with a blank face "Who's this?" "Ah this is OB1, he fought with me during the clone wars........." *Breaks into Star Wars end credits*

Yeah, perhaps she nearly ends up dead and does forget it all.
The head injury would suffice.
To be candid, if episode 6 does not resolve every continuity error in the show, I will consider this non canon.
Hold on.....another's just come to me with how this arc is going. Reva ends up doing a mind wipe/altracation as she has already done a couple of things like this
Hmm.. this mind wipe theory. I guess we all think something should happen like that. And from a story perspective I’m thinking, that could be the last shot.
Obi-Wan force mind melts her, and just like that she’s forgotten all the trauma she’s witnessed, and forgets him. She runs off to into Bail Organa arms, and he just sleeps away, all, David Banner, and we just see Kenobi’s back, as he walks into the wilderness of Tatooine… the end.
There’s your emotional punch right there.
sleeps away. facking thing
*Sleeks away, Ala David Banner
I really don’t think they’ll mind wipe her and I’d be amazed if they scripted a brain injury for a 10 year old!
I think it’s going to be a simple case of OB1 telling her that there are people out there that would kill her and her family just for knowing him, so she can never admit knowing who he is - under any circumstance.
Is that enough? Not sure. On the plus side, when Like rescues Leia and tells her he’s here with Ben Kenobi she’s pretty excited. Could be interpreted that she knows him. Calling her son Ben would also indicate more of a relationship than some old guy who knew her dad turning up to save her and then kicking the bucket within 5 mins.
She's excited to hear Luke mention Ben because that's who she reached out to for help and it shows her message got to him. She literally says in her message, "you're my only hope", so she needed his help urgently.
I think it's very clear they don't know each other in episode 4, despite Disneys attempts at trying to ruin continuity in the hopes that fans would not notice.
In the Zahn trilogy, leia has twins and she names them Jacen and Jaina.
The sequels are blasphemous to everything that is Star Wars, so I'd never use them as a reference point.
Another important note. Obi Wan and Luke were going to Alderaan to deliver the plans to Bail Organa. They ended up getting captured by the Death Star and Obi Wan went off to shut the tractor beams. Luke then finds out that Leia is being held prisoner and convinces Han to help him save her. Obi Wan was never behind the rescue, he simply tried to shut the beams, so they can escape.

Look, it’s not what I would want - just what I think will happen.
Personally I have no issue with using Leia as the trigger to move OB1 but the plot should have moved on and we should have seen the last of her by episode 3 at the latest
Oh o…. Red Letter Media has weighed in with their review of Kenobi.

I agree, that using her as a trigger isnt necessarily ruining continuity on its own. It's the prolonged exposure and interactions between the two, that has unravelled the state of things.
E.G Leia is kidnapped and Obi Wan saves her, Bail then meets them in space and he collects Leia and they go back to Alderaan and Obi Wan goes back to Tattooine, in one episode. There can even be a little wave from Leia to Obi Wan.
Instead, they've spent episodes 2-5 together and gone through several life threatening and altering situations.
I reckon Leia is a force devil or something hence she can do everything and the whole plan is to lure out Kenobi. In ep 6 she turns around, whips out a lightsaber and tries to kill Kenobi
Since episode 6 is the finale to this season, they are likely to drop in some cameos for fans to gush over, so here are the possible characters we may see/hear:
Qui Gon
Palpatine
Tarkin
Yoda
Quinlan Vos
Anyone else?
Luke will be the only one.

Palpatine is pretty likely. Given the amount Vader has featured I'm quite surprised he hasn’t popped up at some point already.
I’m really hoping for QGJ. Given Filoni’s explanation of the dual of fates, it would almost be appropriate for QGJ to appear before his fighting padawans, when the fate set by his death is playing out.
