Just seen some of the Twitter comments, Look, Vince has been a wrong’un, and everyone knows, but just shows you what Power/Money and Powerful friends does for you.
Trump is a very good friend of Vince.

But the warning signs were there, when it kinda played out over a couple of weeks, and Stephanie just quit.
And Suddenly Vince sells WWE.

If those texts are true, man needs locking up.

Agreed.

It's sickening behaviour, if true. He should face some sort of legal punishment but those in power, often finds ways around it.

How does this affect the netflix deal?

I remember literally after the deal went through, ink wasn’t even dry yet, it came out that Vince had been played by the new owners, and he’d be sidelined and HHH was back in Creative control.
And he’s got no say, except for taking his money and cashing in his shares, which amount to 7 Billion.

And this deal with Netflix Alone, is 5 Billion for everything. And their streaming platform WWE Network is to be shut down later in the year.
It makes a whole lotta sense now why Shane left the company years ago.
And what was strange as I said was Steph quitting.

Vince was rushed into retirement, Steph and HHH in control, then Vince announces he’s gonna sell, and suddenly he’s back on the Board of Directors, and suddenly Steph quits and we ain’t heard nothing from her since.

I always thought Shane or Steph would take over.

So now Dwayne The Rock Johnson is now a serious player in WWE.

And the irony is this story is better than most stories put out by the WWE for a decade or 2

I mean, he had control, everything went through him.

Apparently he had already agreed to pay her off and she eas happy with that decision but he didn't pay up. Was it hubris or did he simply forget?

The law is fooked up… just cos someone signs an NDA and gets paid, yer crimes are swept under the carpet.

Vince should’ve handed over the reigns years ago to his kids… when I saw he had no intention, that’s when I realised, he’s gonna be there til the day he drops.

He never had any intention of relinquishing power.
That’s why, I don’t believe he’s totally out.. look at Trump, this guy in a similar situation, and yet it’s looking like he’s gonna be President.

Money/Power/Control, these type of men have no shame

I largely agree but it weakens the females position. If she was so hurt and damaged by the alleged acts, why accept the money and hide it? Why not just go straight to the police and fight for a cause that other women are not in a position to do so?,

Is that a serious question? The why take the money question?

You have two choices, (1) take the cash and sign the NDA or (2) live by your principles, trust the police to investigate honestly and prosecute diligently, get your name put in the media spotlight and the abuse that guarantees, and then take on a multi-billionaire in court. In America. The country where celebrity and money almost always win.

I’m in awe of anyone prepared to knock back the money, take the abuse and trust the legal system.

As an aside, I haven’t watched WWE since the mid 90’s but I watched those dark side of wrestling documentaries and they’re well worth a watch. I love a sports documentary anyway but you come away with the impression wrestling is pretty damn seedy. It’s surely no surprise that the guy at the top of the tree is a wrong’un.
