Fact is that each new show is just meh isn't it.

People weirdly loved Mando, way more than it deserved. It was decent, it certainly wasn't great. Andor the most interesting but partly because is is the furthest removed from Star Wars.

Like DEI aside (the following complaints are not just related to the Crapolyte) - dialogue, acting, choreography, set design etc etc etc is all soooooooo BAD. Does anyone at Disney actually know what people want?

He tends to focus on his particular projects like Ahsoka or CW.

So also like Yoda.....pretends to be in control but lets the universe fall to sheet anyways and hopes that the chosen one can bring balance

Filoni tends to get a pass on this thread. And I get it to an extent, he built up a lot of credit with CW. But Ahsoka was good rather than great, bad batch good rather than great, BoB was abysmal.

And as of last year he’s Chief Creative Officer so surely has to take some overarching responsibility for the shows?

He’s still got credit in the bank but I hope he starts nailing it soon. Starting with Ahsoka series 2 hopefully.

Pretty much this - but I guess this pile of sheet we are watching was halfway thru production when he got promoted........and I guess he gets to the end of this year as a pass, because a lot would have already been decided

Episode 3 review -

Firstly, I'd like to dismiss the idea that this episode was a divisive as TLJ. It isn't anywhere near that and candidly, I wasn't hugely offended from a lore perspective. There are scenes and dialogue that remain puzzling to me but there could be further episodes that elaborate on this areas. The reason why I have to give this episode a 4/10 is due to dismal writing and direction. It felt slow and predictable and the dialogue and acting were wooden, at the best times. Certain characters seem to suddenly change their views and behaviour within seconds and I never felt like any of these characters mattered. The set design and costumes looked cheap and it felt like I was watching a poorly made fan film. Throw in a few agenda pushing moments and the whole episode was a painful experience that I could have spared myself from having to digest. There are some loose story threads that remain somewhat interesting to me but I think I will give this show 1 more episode before giving it up.
