So just some behind the scene news, allegedly Osha/Mae actress has been fired by Lucas, and dropped from any other SW project going forward including Acolyte S2 (that according to sources has been cancelled) and other High Republic series that are also in the brink.

No it was a fun episode

Acolyte Ep 5.

another 28 min Ep. I’m around a 5/10.
Rating could change, just unsure of some stuff.
There were a couple of good moments, but I felt were just ruined by lazy writing.
Felt it was overall badly directed, and edited.

Episode 5 - 5.5/10

Another bland and uninteresting episode and likely to be the last one I watch. The action scenes were the best thing about this and that's why it gets a higher rating. Good luck to those that continue with this show and may the force be with you.

Sounds like another masterpiece of an episode, can't wait.

Yeah personally I was pretty hooked on all the action regardless of some of the other stupid stuff

It does have some good moments in that fight.
Proper use of the LightSabre. But it’s mixed in with foolishness, the good stuff kinda gets lost.

This is easy…. The reason it doesn’t go into the Top 5 is the context for the fight, the way it’s shot, music.
There’s a lot of foolishness in that Acolyte fight..

Vader v Luke ESB
Aankin v obi Wan
Vader v Luke RofJ
Darth Maul Triple threat - TPM
Palps v Yoda

My top saber fights are all Ewan and Hayden basically!

Anakin v OB1 (RotS)
Anakin & OB1 v Dooku (RotS)
OB1 & QGJ v Maul (TPM)
Anakin v OB1 (OB1 series)

I know most won’t agree with the last one but I thought it was fantastic.

Just watched episode 5. Easily the best so far but the bar was very low. The sith was good imo but still some thoroughly daft writing.

The characters lack depth and development. I didn't care for them which curbs any success it could have. It was great to see but I won't be rewatching it any time soon.

I think it's pretty unique in terms of what they tried here so it will go down as a decent entry into the list of Saber fights, I guess there's just no emotional weight behind it because it's been poor up until now.

I think there's some really interesting ideas in the show they've just been poorly executed

What I will say aboot the fight is that it’s one of the most brutal.
That’s the only positive I can give the Ep, it was just surrounded by foolishness.

It's certainly better than anything in the sequel trilogy although that isn't a standard that should be considered a valid barometer.
