Happy new year vc.

Ontheblob - Im fine with these people receiving money / aid benefit/ whatever you want to call it.

I just fine understand why people try and disguise the fact asylum seekers receive money for food and clothing in addition to housing.

Yes Henry they receive the benefit of money.

Glad we cleared that up for Mud.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They also get the benefit of not being shot in the street or blown up by well meaning Russians/Americans/Brits/French/etc.

We're spoiling them really.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Or those well meaning Islamic terrorists and their Islamic paradise
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not sure I'd say Islamic terrorists are well meaning in the wider sense, in my comment they were the ones doing the shooting in the street. Maybe that wasn't clear.

Because there are those things called "benefits" and those other things called "basic human rights"

One doesn't equate in the other.

Does it bother you that people that are vulnerable receive basic human rights?

Also I read through the rest of the comments from this morning.

I take it that you have been made to understand the article you linked, where there is a demand for meat which can be met with a supply of both halal and non-halal meat. due to vast majority of people not caring if meat is one way or another as long as it meets their quality expectations having a default halal process caters for everyone and keeps costs lower.

Went to the bullring on Boxing days and it looked like the middle east ffs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What's your point? Coloured people not allowed to go shopping for sales?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Racist, you're not allowed to use the world coloured to describe ethnic minorities.

Try finding a takeaway in Birmingham that isn't Halal. Good luck
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why do you want one, out of interest?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Because I think people of every religion should be catered for with a choice of halal, kosher and non halal
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Kosher and Halal are the same. But for some reason Kosher does not get as much hate. Why is that?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hasn't Halal meat been blessed? I think both forms of slaughter is cruel, outdated and barbaric.

Do people really think this halal meat has been blessed as in by some ancient religious doctrine.

A billion chickens flying along a conveyor belt at a 100 miles an hour.

They must be quick at reciting prayers.

Ontheblob - if you have read the thread you will see I have made it quite clear I have no objection to these people receiving money for food and clothing and the only argument has been do these people receive money or not. I was arguing that they do and was correct.

posted on 6/1/16

No one ever said they didn't receive anything.

So who were you arguing against muppet?

Anybody against immigration and unlimited handouts for non working individuals must be a dailymailreadingbigot or lacking enrichment.
Now after a week weare starting to get repotts of what happened in cologne hamburg and stuttgart.
Commie Merkel is from the same songsheet as our trotskies here. Hates her country andanyone that wants it to remain german. Open your eyes folks. You are not a racist for saying too many african/eastern euro/third world migrants are here and allowed here, you actually care about the environment your kids grow up in.
MASS IMMIGRATION HAS FAILED.

Penguin - and who are you to speak for all of the Christians and hindu's, claiming they don't give a crap what meat they eat??'

This and everything you said about my comment ignores the 'by and large' I said before it.

Again, the majority of people don't care what meat they eat. I'm not belittling anyone who does by saying that, but it's definitely true that more than 50% of people who eat meat, probably a lot more than that, would happily eat a halal or kosher or neither, whatever the shop in question has.

Yep lets spend money that we don't have. Great logic maybe thats why the UK is trillions in dept.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Spending money on aid in countries helps prevent a lot more money having to be spent there later. Think about it.

Still can't get my head around such a vile set of events. Or the fact that some on here tried to suggest this was some sort of conspiracy of far right tactic. Disgusting.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Who has suggested that this is some sort of far right conspiracy?

People have said, wait for the details to come out before jumping to conclusions. Everyone has condemned what happened.

There are elements of the story that are a little bit fishy and people have said so, like the police officer claiming he arrested a few people that had all their papers with them.

That was what was said about the Paris attacks initially, remember?

Let the law take its course before people start jumping to conclusions.

For example, from your link;

"Three suspects have been identified, he said, but no arrests had been made".

"Mr Jaeger also warned that anti-immigrant groups were trying to use the attacks to stir up hatred against refugees."

"Correspondents say the identification of the attackers as North African or Arab in appearance has caused alarm in Germany because of the influx of more than a million migrants and refugees in the past year. Many of the incomers have fled the conflict in Syria.
The "anti-Islamisation" Pegida movement and the right-wing AfD have said the attacks were a consequence of large-scale migration.

But Cologne's mayor said there was no reason to believe those behind the attacks were refugees."

Unless you and they are vegetarian or vegan I call BS on your claim.

Supermarket meats often kosher and halal anyway just not labelled. Especially kosher as the whole animal isn't eaten

Takeaways buy what's cheaper too. So most of the Chinese, Thai places around me buy from the halal butchers/market. They use mainly chicken thigh meat and its cheaper.

Beside halal/kosher is better meat and if your argument is animal rights based then it is less cruel too

I would though like to hear why you are anti this meat

Probably because it has religious connotations and is basically there to suite a minority but fed to the majority.

That might have something to do with it.

posted on 7/1/16

The meat is blessed before it is killed. Blessed to the God the Christian nation Britain worships and the animals are treated more humanely than what you get in a slaughter house.

So, Christians will not be offended, same God, Atheists do not believe in God so should just chuckle at the silliness

Again, very similar to Kosher, but does not draw the same level of ire

So what exactly is the problem?

posted on 7/1/16

Ignorance and hatred are the problem in most of these discussions.
