How dumb can you get regarding the halal thing?

Of course there's going to be more halal takeaways than Muslim population.

This is simple: By and large, Christians, Atheists, Hindu's don't give a crap what meat they have, halal, kosher, neither. Muslims do.

Say you have a restaurant that gets 1000 customers a month. Even if only 40 are Muslim, which is 4%, profit margins might mean that you decide to go halal so you get to keep those customers, rather than lose them to a rival. Your other customers won't notice the difference and don't care, your Muslim customers stay happy at your restaurant.

This happens across the country, as most non Muslims don't care whether they're eating halal or not, the business might go halal anyway, even if the Muslims only make up a tiny amount of their customers, because having them is better than not for your business.

Reading most of the earlier comments sparks of people who like simple yes or no answers to questions that are far more complicated than that. Educate yourselves. Jesus Christ this forum has some morons

Halal meat doesn't bother me, uncontrolled immigration scares the hell out me, the rise in hate crimes also scares me as my wife and her family have been mistaken for middle eastern and verbally abused before.

When allowing convicted murderers from eastern europe to come here unchecked and murder a child then any idiot can work out what uncontrolled is. Allowing numerous spurious family members including additional wives here from 3rd world nations and people without any right to residency here to disappear after having asylum claims rejected,that is uncontrolled or rather totally losing control.
Some people want to blame foreign policy and corrupt leadership on the behaviour of some of these animals.
Western values dont fit with a medieval way of life ask any native oslo or stockholm copenhagen resident.

Do you think proper back ground checks are done on every immigrant given the sheer number that landed in one go from the Middle East?

How can we carry out checks on some if these migrates? quite a few of them throw away any types of identification they have and even burn off their fingerprints.

Anyone who does that should be depeported straight outta europe and as that alone should ring massive alarmbells.

Anyone hear the story yesterday about the migrant that walked the channel tunnel and was granted asylum? Absolute nonsence whoever made that call. Hes probably now on the phone to his mates telling them to do the same and bragging about his new found benefits.

He should have been taken to a quiet corner and put down for illegally entering a country.

Just wanted to say not all immigration is the same. People are throwing around comments with little to no knowledge.

For example a spouse from the Indian subcontinent coming into the UK has no benefits or rights for at least 5 years. The husband or wife have to show an income of around 21k a year and show that their spouse won't be a drain on UK resources. This includes housing.

The big scam with immigration figures is that the government has made it difficult for those kind of people because they can't do jack all about EU migration

Same with students from China etc. Those of us getting a free uni education need to see it was part paid by foreign students. In an attempt to fudge the stats this got cut down and uni fees have gone up

Most of the immigration talk is BS.

About time that loophole was closed to "those kind of people"

Yes redinthehead, an awful lot when compared with non halal or kosher takeaways.

Actually most meat in supermarkets today is kosher but its not labelled.

Also as a general point. Most halal eateries are halal due to the ownership and not due to the customer these days. Only the franchise shops such as subway will be halal due to customer base in any area. NOTE to myslims subway halal is not halal

Also the supply and demand argument. Places like Saudi Arabia get over 80% of their meat from places like Denmark. So Denmark caters for it and other non halal outlets use the same meat as its cheaper

Personally I don't think that meat is halal due to stunning etc. In fact most halal meat today isn't halal anyway imo

But why would owners identify their restaurants as halal if not for the customers benefit ?? Being a Muslim doesn't mean they cannot handle non halal food, they just cannot consume it.

this is just lack of info tbh and with respect

As a muslim owner handling isnt allowed either. Its one thing being muslim and working in tesco and handling certain products, totally different using in your own business

Fact is that if I opened a business I would use only halal meat and would put that up on a sign. Simple reason being that even if most of my client base was non muslim I would be adhering to my religion and also to catch any passing muslim trade

When I go to any area and I am hungry i dont even stop at the shops not having the sign, so if you didnt have the sign up you wouldnt get my custom

Places like manchester and brimingham, specifically say wilmslow rd attract a lot of trade from foreign visitors so it makes sense for them. Even the non muslim chinese have a sign up saying they use halal chicken etc. Its simply business and no different to restaurant menus saying ''vegetarians and vegans catered'' for

In places like birmingham the trade from muslim customers has increased so much that it makes commercial sense. It may suprise you to know that once upon a time this client base wasnt worth catering for. Then places liek Southhall did it and BOOM

There is uncontrolled migration into the UK from Europe. I am especially worried about the French and Belgian migrants as we know they have committed terrorism. We need to close our borders to France and Belgium and deport all french and belgian citizens in the UK.

Asylum seekers are not given benefits. You seem to post a lot of stories without any facts
