Do you agree with his assessment

I'd like to think that if Pep is available, we'd go for him.

I'd be seriously worried if we are not.

Have had a hunch he is going to OT anyway.

If he's only looking at a 3 year stay, then why would he go to Utd where it will take most of that to get them back to being contenders for the CL again.Doesnt make sense

Think that's a very good read which is surprising since so many idiots frequent that forum. I unfortunately agree with everything he has said.

The club has been mismanaged for a few years now.

City are our rivals buy they have been managing their club very well and to be fair they're far better set up for the future than us. Not just on the field.

United have briefed many media outlets in the last few months that they won't go for Pep because for one they think he's going to City and two they have so much belief in Van Gaal.

The fact we're not even putting up a fight and surrendering him to City is what bothers me so much. The standards at United have just fallen so much,

It's ok, we've got Giggs.

I'm pretty certain we have/will make contact with him and offer our interests but at the end of the day it is Pep's decision. We cant put a gun to the guys head and force him to join us if he didnt want to.

No offence but because it's United.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I take no offence with Utd being a bigger club/name as they undoubtedly are and will always be so but it does seem as though they've allowed City to really close the gap by taking their eye off the ball and the momentum is certainly only going one way at the moment.
In a top coaches eyes looking for a 3 year stay with a view to winning as many trophies as possible in that tenure, who is the attractive proposition Utd or City?

Whichever club pep does join, fans need to realise he is not gna stay there for 20 years and create a Fergie type dynasty. 3 to 4 years max and he'll be off. He done the same at Barcelona and now Bayern. Two clubs that could and did give him everything he wanted.

And yes agree with Paul. City are the most attractive option if you want to win a truckful of trophies in 3 or so years.

I'm not getting taken in at all, the media in this country certainly love to twist some things but when every paper reports the same story word for word it usually means it's a brief from the club.

One of the best managers in the world is out a job, sitting by his phone waiting for us to call but we have no interest, seemingly because they think LVG is doing something wonderful, even though he only has one season left after this one. You'd hope they're hanging on to lure Pep, but if not, they're making mistakes in very slow motion and it's hard to watch.

Maybe he's got his eye on Arsenal as much as City then if its a short term thing?

City have a better board room model than us. That's one of the problems. They've got a director who's been setting the club up over the last few years to suit Pep when he eventually turns up there.

We don't have a director of football, just a CEO who's strength lies more with the commercial side of things than the football side. Until we adapt the board to modern level we'll be stuck far behind the other European giants,

Yet when Pep directly says "I have not chosen a club yet" it is clearly nonsense?
