Utd not having sufficient forward planning has helped us a lot
Komakino, yep exactly. I feel sorry for Pellegrini. He's had the prospect of Pep going to City hanging over his head since he went there. Pep confirming he's going to England adds more fuel to the fire and indeed more pressure on him, especially with him having a year on his contract.
This is why I believe Pep when he said he hasn't made his mind up.

I'd say there is, in terms of talent. The maximum potential CIty posses is quite a bit better than any other imo.
Followed by Arsenal, then Utd/ Chelsea.
Pelle is really doing a sterling job of messing up what should be a CIty title.

Depends, maybe we just don't want Pep, plan to let LVG see out his contract and hand the side over to Giggs?
Perfectly plausible.

I suspect pellegrini has been kept fully in the loop
It sort of was on topic. We are not far away from being a dominant team under LVG. Just the media use selective stuff to troll LVG with. We don't need Pep. LVG is a better manager then Guardiola being one. One swallow doesn't make a summer but look at how the dutch played at the World Cup. A very well drilled side if you ever saw one and finished the tournament beating a Brazil side 3-0 who were wanting to show one last hurrah. Getting out the group was supposed to be a big success but to smash the world champions in a game the 5-1 scoreline actually flattered Spain was incredible. The dutch didn't even make the play-off spot with Hiddink and Blind in charge for euro 2016. You can say they were unlucky but still to finish 3rd at world cup to finishing 4th in a euro's group shows how good LVG is as a manager. I don't think any other manager would have turned us from laughing stocks injury prone side 10 games and 13 points to 65 points from 32 games and playing most of the top teams in that run and pretty much securing 4th with 6 games to go. Injury crisis each time meant a shocking start and end to the season with Carrick missing 17 and a half of those games we took 18 points from 16 games last season.
I don't think their is a better manager out there for this Utd job. Guardiola has very little experience and at Man Utd he won't have world class attacking players like he had at his previous clubs.
I don't want Pep Guardiola as he pretty much is similar to LVG style of play but he needs a brilliant team for it to work. He inherited amazing sides already that didn't need muc work to get them to the top.
"I feel sorry for Pellegrini."
I don't, he has only a plan A and when that doesn't work his team look very average, when they should be winning the title with relative ease.
"This is why I believe Pep when he said he hasn't made his mind up."
Nah, if he has made his mind up, he won't/ can't say there is an agreement in place, since it's illegal to replace something in their position of employment before an agreed end date.

Hmmm, not a top, top keeper... Their best CB is on a downhill slope and the replacements are not amazing. Full backs are good, but not top class... Their key midfielder is ageing. Front four is pretty great, though two of them miss big chunks of the season.
They have a strong team, but I don;t think a manager like Pep would see them as clearly the best to win the league.
Each of the main teams are at least 2-3 signings from becoming outright favourites.
Pelegrini was very poor last year and should have been sacked. At the time some of us discussed the possibility that he'd keep his job for one more year in an almost interim position in return for the dignity of being able to walk away after a hopefully more successful season
I'm certain Pep knows exactly where he's going next season.
He could say he's made up his mind, though.

Why? Weaker squad and less money? City are clearly the best placed for Pep to win the league and challenge in the CL.
Just because they're stuttering this season doesn't change that.

I would find it interesting if Pep took over at Man Utd to see how he transforms us into a more attacking side with similar players LVG had. Will he be found out even more as LVG system allows for opposition not to attack us while Guardiola system is more risky especially in premierleague with teams waiting for couner attacks..
Arsenal or us I reckon. I said we'd get Guardiola after his contract finished in Bayern two years ago, so the natural pessimist in me is now starting to doubt it!
I do think Pellegrini has been very unlucky at times in his tenure. He has been tactically naive at times too though. He's a better manager than some suggest, much better.
I can see Pellegrini going to coach the national side after City.
City are clearly the best placed for Pep to win the league and challenge in the CL.
--------------------
It is the word "clearly" that I disagree with here.... Pep could just as easily look to the Chelsea squad, you know, the champions and see a couple of tweaks and his influence could easily put them back on top. Same with Arsenal and UTD.
There is no big gap in squads, financial clout etc. It could be argued that the London clubs are far more suitable for him to bring in the final 2-3 world class players he would need to make a team firm favourites.

I don't mean in the here and now, rather since Ferguson made it known he was retiring. There doesn't appear to have been any real structure in place to keep Utd as a top European side
When Ferguson took over at Utd,the first thing he addressed was the youth set up which was lagging way behind City's,it's now lagging behind City's again and Utd have made no attempts to alter that situation.
When you consider the riches they brought through from the Utd academy it seems odd that they've been complacent enough to get to a situation where Utd players own kids are being sent to City, which would've been completely inconceivable when Ferguson was in charge
