Nah I'm fairly certain it was return. I had something I may have had to fly home for, someone told me they got flights for $800ish to London flying on New Years day so I had a look and found some closer to $900. I may have been searching one way by accident but I'm usually pretty good with these things
I only paid £350 to get here one way too.

Well NZ isn't Australia but I can assure you that's how much they cost from here! Fact!

thats because one minute that muppet is talking £ the next dollars... if he hasnt got a clue what he is on about how are meant to keep up
Of course you can get tickets that are $1600 return but as soon as the cheaper booking classes are sold those prices increase to over $2k!
Where did you go in NZ? I'm just gunna do basic office work here, just like what I did when I was 18 so data entry and stuff. Pays okay, supposedly a fair bit of it around and usually overtime available. I imagine it'll be boring cos I've gotta be saving so much, if nothing else.
I'll be grateful to get to Oz for the guaranteed weather if nothing else
and apparently EVERYONE travels on their own

I don't know what the problem is with believing arro's story as it all seems perfectly plausible.
I retired aged 12 after making £17million in 2 years with my paper round, albeit I did get a couple of million in tips.
Lounged around at school for a few years before deciding to take up brain surgery. Got bored with that, it's hardly rocket science, so I did that instead. I was ok at it, designed the space shuttle and a few other bits for NASA. Had to give that up as it got in the way of my modelling/acting/multi platinum music career.
These days I come on here as it's the only place I can talk to people close to my 186 IQ, apart from the colony for Mensa level lepers in Burmawho I often invite back to one of my many palatial residences
TBAG
Was wondering who would realise the currency thing.
Guys, either divide any $ figure by 2, or...
Multiply any £ figure by 2.

Teabag, was in Sydney for 5 months, Melbourne for 2, Perth for 1, Darwin for 1, and went up the gold coast for a few weeks too.
Sydney by far the best overall, lots of work there if you need it, great people i.e. loads of travellers, nice weather and beaches.
Only problem is its facking expensive, my friend thought he'd landed on a gold mine getting $24 per hour, but when you live anywhere near the City it's about equal to £9 an hour in London
Darwin was really cool too, but more for like a trip than living there.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
There are 10 booking classes within economy and each has a different fare and different fare rules. The cheapest booking class with Qantas for example is O and a return to LAX is $1250 if you can get O class. The most expensive economy class is Y and that will cost $2800 but you could be sitting next to the person who paid $1250. Still economy, no extra benefits just fare rules that will allow a lot more flexibility. The cheaper the ticket the less flexibility and more costs ti change! That's how it works with every airline!
Sounds good. Did you have to work out there or did you have enough saved? I've heard really good things about Melbourne and Sydney to live in, so I'm excited to check them out.
