We'll most likely seat 15,000 more for a Europa league game than you can for a CL games. Says it all.

I take it you'll be going then.

I saw this last night and knew it would get a mention on here.

I must admit I've decided not to go as have many more have too it would seem. Paid enough hard earned money this season to watch utter dross mostly. Fancy a night off.

And with the tie being against FC Midgetland, it's hardly a surprise. Probably the size of Exeter City.

More worrying why your fans stay away when you have a top team. We don't currently.

Of course. I'm going to drive 250 miles to watch us play some shiiitty team from within the Arctic Circle, in a 3/4 full stadium on a Thursday night.

Count me in

"Fancy a night off."

Get one of your pals to put one of these in your seat Stretty. No one will ever know you weren't there.

I can't believe 1 in 10 people support United yet they all have something better to do on a Thursday night.

That said Hollyoakes is hotting up at the moment...

Which games are you referring to there? As someone that has gone to both OT and the etihad a few times over the last few seasons, I can guarantee the amount of empty seats has been more than comparable and for similar reasons too.

It's why I've never really understood the jibe.

I've been to over 600 games in my life mate. Plastic my backside.

If you were being served up LVG ball you wouldn't want to pay for it either. Especially in Ropey cup when it's on box.

I may still end up going last minute but doubt it. Doesn't make me a plastic you plonker.

The clash on February 25 is expected to draw thousands fewer after season ticket holders were given the option to opt out of Europa League games, as well as Capital One Cup fixtures.

Imagine the turnout when they've lost the first leg 3-0.
They will still announce 60,000 loyal supporters went

Stretch, I barely missed a home game when we were in the lower leagues. You have a couple of seasons out of the limelight and you can't even bother going to European games.

Pathetic.

poor lil stretty fair weather fan. Mind you if he's been to 600 games that's probably approximately 600 more than most United 'supporters'. Well 599 as many do make the once in a lifetime pilgrimage from distant Surrey.

Taking away the Auto cup scheme for this game was good for our fans. We don't get two for one deals like city do and lads and dads offers.

But it was always going to have a negative image effect on club. Doesn't bother me in slightest. Couldn't give two hoots about FC Midgetland on a thursday night in Ropey cup to be brutally honest. And let's be honest, if it were City playing them, you'd have vast areas empty too and you know it.

Had we drawn a more established side like Sevilla, Dortmund etc.....I'm sure it would sell out.

I went week in week out through three leagues watching some of the worst football you can imagine.

That's the difference between being a proper fan and supporter and being like you.

I think I could handle the transition into being 5hite again quite comfortably. Obviously you'd rather watch good football given the choice, but it's not a need for me.
