I remember us in all sorts of trouble under Irving scholar,we're a well run club and performing well on the pitch.

Long may it continue

scholar was before my time but sounds like he faaacked it right up.. sugar saved us no? but then sugar just didn't have the required ambition for the club.

for example that pathetic 4k extention of the stadium from 32k to 36k

how unambitious was that !!!

Sugar got a lot of bad press because he and terry v fell out.

Sugar offered venables the chance to stay but on the condition he got rid of his business associate Eddie ashby.

Ashby had been made bankrupt a couple of times and sugar didn't want him associated with the club.

Terry refused, lots of talk at the time that ashby had dirt on terry.

Scholar brought the club close to bankruptcy & it was only when Terry Venables & Alan Sugar bought the club was administration avoided.

Sugar was a very good financially astute business giy who knew very little about football.
He put the club back onto a stable footing but was happy to sell when Enic came alon!

"or tight bald c*** to Don"

Is it not "tight bald dwarf c***" ??
I'm not bothering with farticles that do not have the correct <FACT>s.

ENIC have actually got the balance between the football and business aspects spot on. Not immediately, nor without mistakes, but they are there now.

You had the two extremes before then.

Scholar, an unquestionably devoted fan, but who failed to understand that football is the primary business of THFC, and anything that threatened that was not on.

And Sugar, who for all his self-proclaimed business nous, tried to run THFC like any other generic business without understanding the most basic things like the "customer base" are anything but generic.

Fair play to Sugar for saving the club but he really messed up the stadium development. 36k, what made him think that was ever going to be enough?

To think we dodged the LVG bullet That was very unspursy.
I must admit I was not impressed with Pochs appointment but man do I love him now

I'm going to wait until the end of the season before giving him credit, or not, depends on how the season ends.

"I'm going to wait until the end of the season before giving him credit, or not, depends on how the season ends."

He can have some credit now.

I doubt he is going to finish below 5th.
The PL GD and GA tallies have been excellent.
Unbeaten away since the first game of the season is immense.

And that is the absolute minimum likely.

Well let's wait and see. This is a crucial period for Spurs with games coming thick and fast. We can't rule out our season going off the boil yet.

Chronic, if we win the league then I will join you and we can both shine his bald head together.

So do you think all of the following are going to happen from now in :

- Stop scoring at 2 per game
- Start conceding at more than 1 per game
- Finish below 5th

If the answer is no, then Pochettino already has credit because ANY of the above is a material improvement from the season before.
