"Well let's wait and see. This is a crucial period for Spurs with games coming thick and fast. We can't rule out our season going off the boil yet."
So do you think all of the following are going to happen from now in :
- Stop scoring at 2 per game
- Start conceding at more than 1 per game
- Finish below 5th
If the answer is no, then Pochettino already has credit because ANY of the above is a material improvement from the season before.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I will give Poch credit all day long. I thought we were talking about Levy?
Who knows what could happen. We have been prone to collapses around this time of the season before. Someone could get injured and it could alter our season.
I don't want to get carried away with anything yet.
To all those who think Sugar saved us - you are naive - a consortium would have come along no question -
Sugar put us back as club - his lack of ambition for the club on and off the field , it's because of him - under his rule that Arsenal overtook us . ENIC have made mistakes yes, but in the main they have done very well to claw back the distance that existed between us and Arsenal - it was once said that Arsenal were 10 years ahead of us - what with the squad they had and the new stadium etc
So to be in a posistion today without having secured champions league football consistently and all the big money that comes with that - to have a state of the art training facility , a new state of the art mega modern 61000 capacity stadium on the way - NFL deal with that generating more revenue and now we have a manager / head coach Pochotino and the squad he is building - we have to give credit to ENIC - I mean look at the other clubs we were once on the same level with - Villa , Everton, Newcastle , 2 of those clubs made top 4 once like us and the other Villa - challenged for it -one season under O'Neil - look at them today

So you are going to blame Levy then if all the things I listed actually come to pass ??

Have you not seen the fake twitter account ?
"To all those who think Sugar saved us - you are naive - a consortium would have come along no question"
Question.
I don't recall a long queue of interested parties in 1991 ready to usurp the Sugar deal. Perhaps you remember who else was interested ...
spurtle you wanna join me and don on levy head shining duty if we win league? don has promised to give it a spit shine too
"Have you not seen the fake twitter account ?"
I doubt it can ever be as good as the real thing.
If Leicester start to slip away from Spurs the poor thing will probably go full OCD reeto and become the new Mich.

I'm currently selling a snooker table, so have already got my hands full shining snooker balls.
You and Don can take this one Chronic
..go home and get your fackin' shine box!
In 91 we were days away from bankruptcy, the only realistic option at that time was Sugar and Venables. As for Sugar having no ambition he wanted to extend the ground further, but if I remember correctly he couldnt because of problems with the condition of the foundations of the stands, and I think it was him who first put forward the idea of a new ground.
Spurtle, Levys head is pretty much a white snooker ball so we need your shining experience mate. Come and join me and chronic in levy head shining duties

It was very close to going belly up!
I don't recall the other intrested parties coming to the rescue.
I will be writing to Levy how much I will have to pay to charidee if Spurs win the league, for him to publicly allow the doubters to polish his head.
And at the same for Chicken to cross the High Road to the side opposite of WHL.
Don, just make sure there's a lot of spit in on his head and you'll be fine.
Then whether you want to bother with the shining after that is up to you.
"I don't recall the other intrested parties coming to the rescue."
I recall one other party being mentioned, but not the details.
As always, those who are more ITK please feel free to give us the extra info for events around the time.
Why did the chicken cross the road ?
To abuse lamela of course.
"Why did the chicken cross the road ?"
Because Chicken is never on the right side.
Why did the road cross the Chicken?
Because it reminded Chicken of Lamela.
Good post Chronic
Haven't been on here for the past set of days due to Valentine's plans but what a win on Sunday! Proud of the boys.
Think you've rightly pointed out this is not an individual effort. As mentioned on the Bale coming back to Spurs hypothetical article we've developed from relying on modric and bale to now being a whole team and squad. The success is also down to sensible management too with the Paul Mitchell and Poch acquisitions.
Think the team have been performing really well and that is a collective effort from the players, staff and Levy so I will too join you in polishing the bald surface !

I don't need to cross any roads to abuse that useless caaaaaaaaant (bar his assist on Sunday - and the second half in the home match back in September - of course)...
And ironically enough, Chicken has always been No.1 supporter of Levy all the way through...
Always on the right side, you say...
We're on the side with mr levy and fair play to you coming on Sunday and giving lamela credit.
