Heisenberg - "LVG has managed the biggest clubs in the world. Moyes hadn't"

That doesn't mean LVG isn't arrogant though does it.

Paying off LVGs contract will be a helluva lot cheaper than missing out on CL

----------------------------------------------------------------
Been sacked from them as well!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

but had success there too,,,

if mourinho is still regarded as a great manager despite multiple sackings then LVG cant be all bad

I sympathise with Van Gaal on the injury front. But the boring football, the lack of quality/balance/numbers in the squad and most of the results are all of his own making.

José is about 20 times better than LVG. Can't wait for him to come in and do a far better job than Heisenberg's life partner did for us

Marlo Stanfield.
---
He did state in a recent interview that he did expect to be there for 6 years, which I still don't understand how he could think that simply because the club made him have a "Top 4" release clause. That should have been alarm bells straight away with how much the club genuinely trusted him.

The thing is, all he had was a Fellaini bid which shouldn't have happened and a desperate signing in Mata, which most Managers would have taken in January at the time.

He made his mistakes, naivety being the big one, but we were much better to watch, we genuinely would know where the back of the net was, we was just clearly in a transition.

The only Managers I think that would have kept us at the very top after Sir Alex would have been the likes of Mourinho, Ancelotti, Hiddink etc..

I don't dislike LVG as a person at all, he seems a fairly decent fella, bottom line is though he's in a results business, and failing miserably.

This season is still better than what moyes served up

---------------------------

No, no it isn't you absolute cretin
----------------------------------------------------------------------

hell yes it is. this season is destroyed by injuries but id never want to go back to where we were two years ago

dark times
----------------------------------------------------------------------

As opposed to the bright and sparkly world of now

Bottom line is LVG has failed at every turn. He hasnt got 1 thing right since taking the job on.

The sooner he is gone the better.

Yes the board and players sound shoulder some of the blame but we all know that in football, it's the manager that pays the price.

the boring football only comes out when we are decimated with injuries

our football improves massively when we have a decent defence and midfield out there

i truly cannot believe lvg purposely tells his players to be defensive and do passing for the sake of passing

last season we could not string two passes together. we had johnny evans trying to play out from the back. we've improved our passing game massively since then.

we just left ourselves short in attacking or creative options in the squad which is why i think with a couple more attackers and less injuries we'd comfortably be in top 4. i don't think we are a million miles away from competing.

We need to win like 10 out of remaining 12 games. Never going to happen!

I do think people sometimes forget how hard we've actually been hit by injuries.

Some people will say "other teams have had them" which is true, but we've been cursed it seems this season.

It does make you wonder where we would be had we not suffered so badly.

I agree with the rest of what you said too, however had our negative style at times been used to compensate for the fact we have had so many players out.

Yeah forget top 4, not a chance in hell.

LvG's was an unmitigated disaster 2nd time round at Barca and they're not fond of him at Bayern.

he's basically dined out on Ajax for his whole career.

In Heisenberg's crazy world of delusion he blames injuries for everything.

We had a strong side out against Palace. Boring. Strong side out against PSV. Boring. Strong side out against west ham. Boring. Strong side out against CSKA. Boring. Against saints we fielded a good side. What happened? Cretinous football.

Doesn't make it right though, it just means whoever comes in next could have the same problem

As for unforeseen injuries, didn't we have similar issues last season? Hardly unforeseen really was it?

if they dont appreciate that then ze germans are daft

No the boring football comes out pretty much every game.

Yes we are short of attackers. And whose fault is this? Surely not the guy that has assembled a squad to the tune of £250m in the space of a year and a half?

Your attempts to defend Van Gaal's failings are more desperate than the defence of Moyes.

Which is funny given how you've completely flipped and blamed him for destroying the club.

Dunc - what do you think needs to happen in addition to LVG sacking then?

posted on 18/2/16

We played this side against Saints

Ddg
Darmian smalling blind BJ
Morgan fellaini
Lingard mata martial
Rooney

A strong side hardly decimated by injuries. But we were absolutely awful. Even worse than today.

of course i blame injuries 14 injuries is a joke

against psv they parked the bus, we couldn't break it down. how is that "cretinous" football?

against saints? didnt darmian go off injured and we had mcnair, CBJ and lingard? and saints scored from their only chance?

we went all out attack against wolfsburg, newcastle, we beat everton 3-0, we attacked chelsea, stoke, derby and probably some other games too. funny how you have selective memory in regards to these.

I think Woodward needs to go, the guy is amazing at what he does in regards to bringing money into the club, but that's it.

I actually think a lot of lvg's signingd have been good and that's probably the only thing he has got right, I don't think he knows how to use them though, but whoever comes in next will probably benefit from them.

I think rooney and Carrick both need to go along with Jones.

The boring football comes from van Gaal's boring philosophy. It's the way he plays. It's actually the only consistent thing about him, that I at least respect him for because he's never actually sat there and tried to convince us he's some great flair type manager.

It's not like the club can make out they didn't know that prior to him coming to us as a Manager.

not sure what you are waffling on about but 250m is not nearly enough spent to fix the moyes disaster

and we got 45m of that back so i don't get why 250m keeps getting thrown around.

moyes wasted 70m on 2 players who fergie would probably never busy as they are not united players
