What is Paul Williams going to do that Freedman hasn't already tried? I guess one positive is that Paul is now the first black Forest manager.

Apparently highly rated as a coach at previous clubs so hopefully he may have a few ideas that he might have suggested but weren't acted upon by DF. He's also a bit of a unit these days so maybe he'll just beat them all mercilessly!

In any case, I expect Forest will hire a new manager within a couple of weeks anyway so he will probably get the next couple of games to have a go at it.

Here is my left field suggestion for manager - John Pemberton. Only manager of Forest who has a 100% win record and was the last manager of Forest to record a success over Prem opposition...

Billy's record whether you like it or not on the pitch and far as results are concerned at this level speaks for itself

However, surely even Fawaz won't go back there, surely he saw enough 2nd time round to know that Billy Davies needs steering clear of at all costs

Get Brian Laws in

Davies lost the plot though, and I think he's genuinely mentally ill, the paranoia from his last stint was well beyond what a well man would do.

It would be funny if we hired Paul Clement. Wouldn't be the first time we took on an ex-Derby man...

The worrying thing is the timings of Fawaz

He sacked Davies with 8 games to go which was completely pointless and scuppered any slim hope of a playoff place and replaced him with Brazil

Now he's sacked Freedman with 10 games to job which again is pretty pointless too - I can't see any logical reason to sack at this stage of the season?

It's not as though we're gonna suddenly make the playoffs - if anything if we lose our next 2 games (highly likely), we could be 3 points off the Relegation Zone come the weekend

Looks like a difficult job, but I'll do it as long as I get a 4 year contract and I'll be on my way to the bank by Easter

It would be 6, as we have a game in hand.

The more you think about it though, the more you start to wonder whether we already know who the next manager is going to be.

It has gone from surely that wouldn't ever happen to there being a path back into the managers office......

Well at least it wouldn't be dull

on the other hand, if it's Petrescu, then I have lost all hope

Just change your name back Rev......it's easier

Are we still trying to sign Macheda? Is that out the window now Freedman has been sacked?

Super, I would expect it takes a few more Billy failures before you'd consider Billy to be the main culprit in his own failures.

Matched a was waiting for authority clearance not signing

As I said Ray, I would prefer someone like Pearson any day of the week.

However if you are going to say we are getting someone in who no one has heard of or go with someone who even crazy, will at least make sure we are safe on the pitch even though we capsize off it, then I would probably take the latter option.

It would be nice though if Pearson came in though, but that would be too simple for Forest

No chance of us getting Pearson in. I'd love him to come in but it just won't happen.

In all fairness I'm genuinely wondering who would even come to the club to do a job rather than look for a payout.

We were looking at the bottom of the barrel with freeman, and things have only really gone downwards from there...

Where's this Paul from?

Capsize us of it in the sense further destroys any crumb of structure and credibility we have left. FGS

Fawaz out, it's the only way

posted on 13/3/16

You know, I wasn't worried in the slightest about relegation, I think we're 95% safe right now, but since the sacking I'm thinking where the next point will come from. Maybe we could play for 10 draws, we defend well enough...?

7 points should do it

Tbf 666, you just have stay for a while to be a sheep legend.

You might well be right Ray.

It would have been nice if the Nottingham consortium rumour headed somehow by Pearce was true
