Kante going to Liverpool?

Brilliant! Yeah I'll sacrifice CL football and offers from PSG and Real Madrid to play alongside Jordan Henderson in a team that's sat outside the top 5

Exactly he wants to play for a great club so we clearly fit the bill, him and Alli will be delighted to play for us

Kante won't be at Leicester next season in my personal opinion. I think Mahrez and Vardy definitely will.

Kante has refused to commit to Leicester next season unlike Vardy and has openly said he doesn't mean speculation with other clubs

His rise has been so quick that he is essentially growing faster than Leicester as a club. We are talking Man City or Real Madrid here.

His contract won't matter, his value has gone up so much that the owners may well consider cashing in to buy another top quality midfielder

Good one...

When I say outgrowing Leicester as a club I mean that he is a niche player. Players in that position who are world class potentials are few and far between. There are lots of top quality alternatives to Mahrez, there are not for Kante. Even pogba is a different type of player.

He is destined to go right to the top and I think his refusal to play down speculation or commit next season shows that he has one eye on being at a European super club.

Even though one thing he has said is he wants to play in England? He definitley, absolutely and categorically said that 👍

BS - Back to Andy King next season then.

Nah we have Amartey mate, he's a bigger version of Kante 👍

Mahrez said in August that he would see at the end of the season but has since said he's happy here and will see at the end of his contract.

First of all I haven't seen that, have you got the source or the quote?

Secondly, man city have brought pep in to be a European super club which I think they will be. The lure of playing for the best coach in the world (arguably) and the £300k a week wages could prove tempting.

He is being completely non commital about Leicester and open to other clubs which isn't a good sign

We'll get a shiiitt load of money for Kante and I won't be so disappointed if he leaves because Amartey is a perfect replacement. He's so highly rated and I can't wait to see him in the middle.

Mahrez was simply saying he will see at the end of the season. Kante is saying that but also effectively inviting interest from other clubs. That's the difference and that's what would concern me.

If we are CL then unless barca come in for him I think Mahrez will stay. I don't feel that way about Kante at all

He said it when Real Madrid showed interest but I'll see if I can find it 👍

Pep wants Pogba, he won't want both.

And so it begins........

Unfortunate but honest comments from Kante last night.
We all know he has the attributes to fit into most top drawer clubs in any league, the question is who wants him enough to open their wallet wide enough.

The club are prepared for large offers to come in and anything under £40m will not be entertained.
I expect to see PSG and Juve ( only IF Pogba moves) as certain suitors for Kante.

As for Premier League clubs, it depends on Chelsea's new managers direction and formation then you look at Man City, if Pep targets Pogba but he doesn't move then maybe Kante would be another on his radar.

But for us Leicester fans let's enjoy the last 7 games of the season and seeing Kante in a LCFC shirt. He had had the best debut season for our club that I can remember.

I hope he stays for next season but I am sure he will move onward and upward.

You can't say he's a perfect replacement Arro because we haven't seen him play. He's a serious talent but again a different player to Kante. I don't think he's a like for like and he hasn't been brought into replace Kante.

If Kante leaves we will sign a replacement.

Says the PL suits him 👍

That wasn't actually the article I read but just found that which says the same only the other one actually said "I want to play in the PL" 👍

BS / SD or whatever the f*ck you are called this week 😉

Quite right Amartey was not bought as a replacement for Kante, he will be integrated into the defence in pre-season rather than midfield.

IF Kante does move then we will sign a replacement for sure, maybe Jordan Henderson 😂😂

He's a full of energy central midfielder and we wouldn't have signed him and been after him for so long if he wasn't; in my opinion. He's a great player and is Ghana's favourite and Ghanaians are supporting Leiceter because of him. He'll be great.

He's not a central defender, he started there but was moved to midfield and that's where he was playing for Copenhagen. Centre half is a position he can play but he's a central midfielder, read his scout report 👍

Style of play, strengths & weaknesses

"Amartey’s versatility has helped him slot into many positions in his young career. Operating as a center-back for Djurgårdens + Ghana & as a defensive midfielder for Copenhagen.

Another strength of the Ghanaian international is his tenacity on & off the ball. Blessed with surreal stamina, Amartey is able to hammer around the pitch at very high work-rate levels for 90 minutes game-after-game with an aggressive & powerful mindset, closing down & dispossessing players."

Sounds like a replacement for Kante to me.

Arro I'm sure amartey will be great but he's got a lot of developing to do to step into kantes shoes. I'm sure he will be a top player for Leicester but not in 7 games time if Kante leaves. The club will look for a replacement with the money they receive. Amartey adds another option for now but is not in a position to fill kantes shoes yet.

He may never do as the chances of signing 2 makeles with pace in the space of 6 months are pretty remote if I'm honest

I'm disappointed. You'd have thought the John Pantsil connection would be enough.
