What a ridiculous comment. Were they not trying when Rep of Ireland scored against them in qualifying? Germany's form has been inconsistent since winning the world cup.

It has been explained to you. You can disagree, that's fine; but to say it doesn't make sense is just being silly.

You can't say a team didn't take a game seriously just because they conceded a certain number of goals, friendly or not, 2001 or 2016.

Look Germany are way too good currently to concede 3 goals against England unless they weren't trying. I don't see how anyone can disagree with that.

I think we can all agree that Germany are better so their aptitude at not trying is like a double negative to them which undermined their not trydedness resulting in an England win despite trying less.

Maybe England just played well in the second half? I'd accept that Germany might have got a bit complacent, maybe, but not that they weren't trying. Sometimes good teams concede goals even when they're giving it everything. United let in six at home to City, Bayern let in four at home to Real in a CL semi.
