Rashford looks good but right now England have better options than him.
Deffo a contender for 2018 if he keeps this up.
Same could be said of Rooney & Walcott. They all broke through really early but went off the boil by the time they were nearing 30.
===============================
And?
Owen suffered a really bad injury from which he never recovered.
walcots never been good anyway
and rooney has played proffesionall football for 14 years and has had an aamzing career. rooneys and owens best years were their younger ones.
I dont see your point.
all footballers go off the boil at some point.
A player is either awful or brilliant in strettys opinion.
=====================
Only if that player is awful or brilliant.
Lingaard is just poor
Strikers like owen between 97 - 2003 are worth their weight in gold. make no mistake.
He was a decent all round player who scored a ton and was rapid.
Given the option between a better player who scores less and him in his pomp, its him all day long.
Stretty
The point I'm making is that we've got plenty of players up top for England. I don't see the need to fast track Rashford through to the international team.
Give him some time in the U21's to let him get used to playing international football without any pressure. Let him progress naturally. He could be great for Engjand for 10-15 years if he fulfills his potential. But that's all it is at the moment, potential.
LVG may not have got our team to click, but when it comes to assessing young players I'll trust the views of the man who brought through future international stars at Ajax, Barcelona and Bayern over those of Stretty, regardless of the high esteem in which his contributions to this forum are held.

I think
Kluivert
Iniesta
Xavi
Muller
Would have been world class players anyway

As long as hes performing, who cares if hes young? Hes been better than vardy in 2016.

I'm well aware of that. that said, he is performing. so if he does go it wouldnt be something i would personally have an issue with.
From a utd perspective I think it would be more risky than benefitial if rashford went to the euros

Only an idiot would take Rashford ahead of Vardy.
Rashford might be an awesome player one day but he certainly doesn't deserve to go ahead of Vardy.
People should be patient with these youth players.

Guardiola use to watch this guy play when he was 14 years old. no way he wouldnt of been a top player regardless. everyone at barca knew who he was.

I'm sure some of them would have made it but of the big managers of the last couple of decades he's probably the one most associated with promoting youngsters. Lots of talented players don't get big breaks. We've seen a few of them not make it at United, and there are some great players around today who were on the books at Chelsea but couldn't break through into the team.
Vardy shouldnt be going at all, but he probably will.

Why not?
Now Vardy is rubbish too? He's had a superb season, and he has played well for England.

1) Yes he has
2) How do you know this isn't Rashford's hot streak?
Vardee and Kane should start for England at the Euros with Rooney at number 10 behind them imo.
