RRP

I was talking about your new South African (Saffers) striker.

Firstly there's no evidence of this "agreement", Levy said there wasn't one and his old agent(soon sacked) said no agreement had been broken.

The supposed agreement was that we'd consider an offer if it was right for both parties. We're trying to get back into the Champions League and selling our best player is not what we want to do, ergo we don't have to negotiate.

Stupid chávs, once again

lol they are right on that point, levy wasn't willing to consider any offer so he reneged on his gentleman's agreement. but we knew he was a anyway so that's no surprise. good businessman though

Galvin, honestly does your last statement make any sense at all. After the first bid, levy said luka was not for sale at ANY PRICE not even considering the possibility of a good offer coming in later. Thus violating the alleged gentleman's agreement. From levy's statement, even a hundred million pound bid wouldn't force him to sell. Thus the phrase 'any price'. This is how he violated it.

You can't 'consider' an offer if you say a player is not for sale at ANY PRICE. Levy obviously went back on his gentleman's agreement. He wasn't willing to consider any offer at all. Its simple english. I can't understand why the spurs don't get it.

Here here.

Spurs fans just can´t seem to get this very simple concept into their heads.

Levy said he would "consider" any bid yet he did no such thing when he said Modric is not for sale at any price.

He went back on his word and he is anything but a "hero".

Modric should have known better though and put in a release clause in the new contract. Quite naive on his part.

Actually, it was before. In the statement he released after the bid he revealed Chelsea had made enquiries and he told them that he's not for sale.

Also, Modric's verbal agreement, if true, is no more valid than when he was quoted at the end of the season saying that he hoped the whole squad would stay together so they can try to get back into the Champions League next season.

Now you're just acting unnecessarily thick, galvin. I think i've made my point clear. Thanks for 'considering' it.

saying modric is not for sale at any price, that he will definitely be at tottenham, that you absolutely will not let him go indicates any future big would not be considered

true, but a gentleman's agreement relies on the honour of the two parties involved so in conclusions levy is a

This is still going? Like it hasn't been the same debate on every Modric article since the beginning of the summer?

Isn't anyone just a little tired of it all at this point:?

When having nothing worthy to say I often link a youtube vid.

I thought it was quite worthy.

You only have to read the comments on this thread to realise that some Spurs fans are incredibly unintelligent or just very good at pretending to be so.

I suspect it´s the latter although I wouldn´t bet on it.

After all pretending to be stupid is the last line of defence when faced with the truth you don´t want to hear.

Chelsea fans are the thickest excuse for people I've ever had the misfortune to encounter.
No really, they smell a bit too, never finished school, live on the dole and the majority are career criminals.

This coming from a Spurs fan .

Clearly you´ve never been to Tottenham.
