So i can be clear what you mean there Frank - if Luka Modrich says something and Daniel Levy doesnt deny or confirm it, it stops being an allegation and we can safely assume its an undeniable fact, because Luka couldnt possibly make a mistake, lie or his integrity could never be called into question. But then, the 5 or so well researched articles that G&S pasted and posted about Mr Abramovich that you slammed for being only "allegations" were simply that ....allegations, however, Had Luka Modric said them, and Abramovich didnt deny them, we could also assume them to be cold hard facts?

...If you did read my earlier comment where we did assume the conversation had happened, and that Mr Levy had considered that selling Luka to Chelsea at that point in time wasnt in the best interest of both parties regardless of the financial compensation offered, then he has kept his part of the agreement. on the other hand, if after considering that keeping Luka was the best thing for spurs and He then sold him to Chelsea, would you be complaining he had clearly broken the alleged agreement?

To be brutally honest Frank im disapointed, you had a few hours to think of that, 3/10 for effort, but you really must try harder with the logic of your argument

Unfortunately, no bigger club made an offer for Modric (Man Utd declined) .

That is probably why Darth Levy is being hailed as a hero (for saving ratboy from going to the small cub that spectacularly revived the form of Fernando Torres) .

I gave you a direct quote word for word from Modric and for some reason you are still questioning the gentleman´s agreement.

I can only assume that you are calling Modric a liar then.

A Spurs fan calling one of his own players a liar.

Whats wrong with calling our own player a liar?

Oh no...Chicken called one of the players from the team he supports.....a liar..oh no ...what shall we do? he's not a real fan...a real fan would never say such a thing .

SuperbFrank, grow up eh?

At the same time, you can't completely disregard what Modric said

I don't think he would have just made that up, I'm sure he had some sort of discussion with Levy. Not saying he's 100% saying the truth but he did have a discussion, that much I'm sure about

So yes he was a git with the way he's handled the situation, but also naive to expect that talk with Levy to have much of a significance

CSTP :

IOW, a "gentlemans' agreement" is not worth the paper tis not written on.

And as been said MANY MANY times before, for players in general, and specifically in trying to think you can outwit Darth Levy :

Get BETTER REPRESENTATION when you are drafting/signing contracts. Or failing that, a brain.

Calling someone is a 'liar' is common for Spurs fans.

Yes, I know he was a very stupid being

However I am certain that he did have a discussion with Levy, which was what made him upset

I don't think he would've signed the contract if he'd known that Levy wouldn't allow a move to go through when a bigger club comes knocking on the door

Look..........I have had some immense banter and wummery over Modric with Spurs fans over the last few months, in particular Don

But, when being serious about this issue, I have always maintained that a guy who signs a 6 year contract is out of order to want out, just one year later,so I totally understand where Levy is coming from.

I think there is a question mark over keeping a player against his will, but Levy has decided to take that risk and time will tell if that proves to be the right decision.

I think Modric has disrespected Spurs and the fans and that again is an issue for consideration when forcing a player to stay.

By January we will know if Levy was right or wrong, in the meantime can we talk about something else now?

MafiaBoy,

You are a cumplsive liar. You make statements & when asked to back them up with links, you dont & cant.

I told you on that other thread, if you deliberately say things that are not true, you will be likened to a liar.

You've made your bed on that one i'm afraid.

You can only redeem yourself if you come up with the relevant link you are refering to. But you cant because one doesn't exist, hence you are a liar.

Chicken,

Likened ??

Mich is a known liar.
He spectacularly showed that on the last week of 606 when he unwittingly revealed that the Mich and "Joker" accounts were the same person.

And then topped that by an even bigger lie when he tried to avoid the mods deleting his account.

Chicken, I proved you as a 'liar' in the other thread.

I guess it sums up what an absolute hash of a situation it is when Spurs fans have to resort to calling one of their own players a liar in order to try to prove a point.

What a mess Spurs are in right now.

Well done Daniel "Clouseau" Levy .

A Spurs fan has called Modric a liar.

Perhaps you can convey this fact to the ratboy, so he can have his right to reply on a potential slander, and refute the claim by providing all the whats and whens of what was said to Darth Levy regarding this alleged "gentlemans' agreement" ...

Its called honesty.

Are you saying that JT has never lied?

Think about it, sunshine.

As i always say, its good to be loyal but its better to be honest & moral.

We support our players on the pitch but they are not Gods off of it.

Wisen up fella.

If you are talking about Terry´s supposed affair with Vanessa Perroncel then you obviously missed the bit where the newspapers in question issued apologies stating that any allegations of an affair with Terry were untrue.

The following statement was issued by the Mail On Sunday:

"On January 31, we published some personal information about Vanessa Perroncel concerning an alleged affair with the footballer John Terry. We have since been informed she would have preferred this to remain private and it was untrue in any case. We apologise to Miss Perroncel for any distress caused".

That whole assasination attempt by the red tops on this pair was beyond the pale, and should have forced the papers in question to have closed to to buyer apathy, people forget something, if we the public stop buying a certain newspaper, it will be forced to close within a month, the general public have the power to make them report fctual issues, I just think too many people want to pretend they live in the same world as the mega rich people they stalk via the meeja
