but human rights wont disappear only a new bill created, slavery isn't going to be brought back, it wont be like the purge

The money we 'get back' isn't given back to the treasury, it is the money that the EU spends here on it's pet projects and paying farmers to not grow enough food.

Do you have any idea at all how long it takes to negotiate an international trade deal?!

If we voted out, assuming the Government respected the will of the people and elected to leave, there's no way we would leave the single market in any case. We'd end up with a portfolio of treaties that looked like Switzerland or Norway's.

I've looked into this until my head spins.

Have seen nothing to convince me leaving the EU will lead the UK into some utopian idyll.

In fact there's more 'evidence' suggesting quite of opposite.

I will be voting IN

Oh and re. the other part of the OP.

Get a girlfriend or a job you enjoy.

Only joking.

As if any of you could do either of those.

Tampon tax is laughable but it shows how we can't change it because of the EU.

No one taking me up on dredging?

French and Germans are seeing the EU folly of protecting natural flood plains now.

Perhaps they'll demand a change now then?

What a shame that would be for the UK if we weren't a part of it.

International Trade deals.

We don't need them. Trade goes on trade deal or not.

Trading standards; protections around the quality of products and services; freedom to live, work and travel across the EU; protection of workers' rights; protection of human rights; the ability to challenge in court unfair decisions made by out national courts; environmental standards and controls; political stability; shared intelligence on terrorism and organised crime; academic, educational and cultural exchange programs; action against poverty at home and, in particular, in the most impoverished places in Europe; diplomatic influence and prestige; a say on European external border controls and policy; enhanced energy security; job market stability and security...

Off the top of my head.

Lex

I don't think for one minute that leaving will make Britain a utopia. I just don't trust the course that the EU looks set upon. I have more faith in the democratic traditions of our country than a slow crawl towards a federal european superstate that will be less democratic and ruled by corporate interest.

so Norway and Switzerland have none of those things?

The EU is going downhill, member states economies in bad shape , unemployment twice as high in Europe than the UK. The idea that we need to be in union with a group of countries worse off than us or we'll crumble makes no sense.
