Giggling sizzling.

Do you have any thoughts involving words?

Seems such a an unlikely signing

I agree he is not a Wnger type player but would still be a good signing as he is better than any of their other forwards.

I am frustrated by decision to sing this past it player. This is the way it will go.

Vary will be decent for a season then wane off to sunset mode leaching off Arsenal wage system. The damage will also be long term as in Wenger will refuse to sign any other top striker, if they become available as we will be tied to this anchor for four season.

Same old freking chit from Wenger. so fcking predictable.

Hmm

He would add some much needed grit to Arsenal though

It's a great deal financially for Vardy. There's only one club that's been approached that thinks £120k a week on a four year deal for a 29 year old is good value and that's Arsenal

I think it's a bad move for Vardy and it's a fan pleasing transfer at best

Is that what they are offering ?

That is ridiculous

Extremely dangerous when a team plays to his strengths. Would be gutted to lose him and it's looking fairly likely apparently.

As you will see with England if he's not playing in to a certain formation or is stuck out wide he can be ineffective. Even if Arsenal do change the way they play teams will sit back more against them than they do leicester. A risk for the player and Arsenal but possibly his last chance of a 'big' move.

That's what vardys agent asked clubs for when hawking him around according to the guardian when they broke the news.

United laughed it off....in steps Wenger who has an eye for a great deal!

I have to be honest, I didn't see this one coming.

Who did?

In other words, nobody knows, Blackstarr.

All we know is that arsenal are interested and Vardy has a release clause.

Like Leicester Vardy is a one season wonder so if Arsenal want to spend big money (transfer fee/salary) on a 29 year old thats all good.

----------------------------------------------------------------------Sky sources at Manchester United are pretty good to be fair, I can't remember them getting much wrong. They revealed pretty much everything about the de gea transfer scenario as it was happening

If they say United passed up the chance to go for him then I think that's fairly likely imo

It could be a good move.

SAF spent a similar amount on a 28-29 year old with an extremely short term remit. To score the goals that would allow him to go out a winner.

As much as i would not be happy with Chelsea making this signing I'd actually understand this from an Arsenal point of view. Especially if it benfits Wenger short term.

20m and 120k a week isn't much at that level these days tbf

I'm not sure he will get the same numbers at Arsenal because as the OP says they generally play a slow build up game, He won't get to utilise his pace as much and will therefore have to rely on movement which I'm not sure is his strongest style of play.

Someone like Chicarito would thrive playing for Arsenal IMO.

He's English and he will score goals and he's an upgrade on what they have including Giroud, Decent signing but if he's the only striker Arsenal are signing then I'd feel underwhelmed.

It is for a player who is close to turning 30 and has rarely achieved double figure goal tallies when playing in the football league.

2013 - Wenger declines to spend £32m on 25 year-old Higuain. Proven striker at Real

2016 - Wenger wants to spend £20m on 29 year-old one season wonder Vardy

I don't rate Vardy anymore than I rate Walcott to be honest. Reckon Theo would have grabbed plenty of goals playing on the shoulder of the defenders waiting for long balls. I find it quite amusing.
