He definitely wasn't in 2013.

He probably isn't even now tbh.
-------------------------------------------

Yes, he was.

Yes, he is you cringey, deluded mug.

could have played £30M + for carroll or benteke
----
Could of signed Aubam for £17m, could of signed Higuain for £30m, Griezmann for £24m, Sturridge for £15m. It goes both ways.

are any of them available now? whos better than vardy for cheaper?

Ranieri has confirmed its true in an Italian interview, only a matter of time before its confirmed by the looks of it. If it happens don't think ive been this gutted about someone leaving since O'Neil left for Celtic. If your head is going to be turned by the first offer by a big club, don't come out and say you're staying.

Smacks a bit of desperation and penny pinching from Arsenal.
------------------------------------

Penny pinching? We're about signing a 29-year-old for 20+ million pounds and 100k+ wages a week. That's quite expensive.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

For a proven goal scorer, £20m is peanuts. Any world class player (which is what Arsenal need) would cost twice that.

So Leicester are dismantling their winning team??
And sending their best players to their closest rival?
Makes no sense.
I read this as Ranieri ain't staying.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well exactly. People talked about Kane being a one-season wonder and the same must apply to Vardy. 1 great EPL season, after one where he scored 5 in 34 games.

It kinda reminds me of when Spurs bought Bent. A player who scored close to 1 in 2 for relegation fodder Charlton...a team who parked the bus and used his pace to counter with balls over the top. He came to Spurs where at least half the teams parked the bus against us and his pace was nullified. Useless with his back to goal he simply did not fit our system and managed 18 goals in 2 seasons.

Personally cannot see him fitting their system, or repeating his shiiit-hot form of this season where, lets face it, everything went right for him .

So what did he do last season ?

Vardy to Arsenal seems ridiculous and will be a terrible move for him but great for his agent. I'll wait for his career to rapidly nose dive and laugh all the way if it does happen.

Jack Grealish is 20 and a midfielder
Jamie Vardy is 29 and a striker

Stupid comparison.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Jack Grealish has shown unprofessional attitude and behaviour with legal highs and been relegated to the Championship, Vardy has played his football and won the Premier League, and you're using age as some sort of criterion for comparison?

This would rank up there with the biggest shocking transfers of the last few years.

Paying big money for a centre forward who is 30 in January on a 3/4yr deal, when they generally offer 1yr deals to players over 30 is just one reason why.

Leicester will suffer without Vardy. He might or might not score 20 at Arsenal, but I'd back his attitude, pace and quality to improve them. Presumably they've promised him first team status?

Good signing

Sadly this is a great move by Arsene

Weaken the opposition by taking their main goal scoring threat

If Leicester hold their players and continue playing like last season they could well win the league again, but with this this move it guarantees they won't compete.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It doesn't guarantee we won't compete, depends who we sign and if we had Slimani, Musa and Mendy as replacements we could be just as good if not better. At least we have the best recruitment in the league, loads of money and CL football so we'll be an attractive proposition to a lot of players.

Vardy won't improve Arsenal and no doubt he'll be injured a lot and won't score anywhere near as many goals as they just don't suit his style.

I think it's highly likely he'll be injured a lot, he only stayed fit because of our sports science and training methods which Arsenal don't have. The way he plays he'll pick up injuries if not looked after properly. And yes I will wish him injuries, the judas!

Ranieri and/or his scouts are shrewd. I'm sure they will find another bargain to replace Vardy.

It`s a huge financial outlay for a one season wonder, a 29 year old with one good season under his belt, £20m + £25m in wages.

Let the Goonz get on with it, there are far better players out there for far less money.

I wouldn't wish any injury on him, he'll still be a Leicester Legend but I do agree on the injury front, he's said himself how much he uses the Cryo unit at Leicester to keep himself fit and now he's possibly going to 'crock alley'!
