England like players with very little footballing brain and players that can run. Sterling fits the bill perfectly. Any player who is any good is slated like Rooney or not picked Carrick or Lingard.

Rooney slated?

When?

Most people said he played well - however he is a past striker and not a cmf, with better options on the bench in both positions, and its hardly like he had a good sesdon at United was it?

Let's see what sterling does with a proper coach before throwing him on the bonfire through club rivalries shall we.

It has nothing to do with club rivalries................if that was the case there would be an article on 10 players....

Alli extremely technically limited player who just lashes at shots similar to Gerrard one goes in and he is amazing. All round game is shocking. I remember during the game a simple pass and a player was clean through and he completely overhits it. His pass accuracy is shocking considering most of his passes he makes are simple yet he misplaces them. I think whenever Alli tries to make a hard pass he fails majority of the time.

Rashford is the only England striker with any technical ability. Kane one of the worst crossers of the ball taking corners Rose put in a shocking performance of trying to cross the ball, I think Rose showed their are players who are worse at crossing the ball then Darmian.

Rooney was the only player who could cross the ball yesterday and switch play.

So, what you're saying is Harry Kane, winner of the 2015-16 Premier League Golden Boot with 25 goals, and Jamie Vardy, winner of a Premier League champions medal and scored 24 goals, have no technical ability.

Why do you engage him?

That's hilarious haf, even for you.

As pointed out, the top two scorers in the prem, and then studge who is one of the most technically gifted footballers in the side, and yet rashford is the only one with technical ability

Hafi has turned from a mild stat based wum to an all out attention wh_re.

Best to just ignore him. He offers nothing to a football debate.

Sterling was a very good outlet, but yeah his decision making was pretty poor on a few occasions. Not awful, but he needs to release the ball earlier.

As soon as he came off though, we lost that outlet and were penned in. He justifies his place, for now.

Rooney was excellent, and him coming off was a baffling decision by Roy. I think the two substitutions cost us the game.

Walker, Dier, Lallana, Rooney, and Smalling were all excellent I thought, there was a lot to be impressed with.

Kane was poor, and please please get him off corners.

I thought it was a good start, just a gutting last few minutes.

Sturridge got his new trademark now. Fact is Rashford is the most lethal striker in the England squad.

posted on 16/6/16

I'm not convinced he does, he was so good with Suarez and Sturridge, but his main thing was pace, he'd explode out of our half carrying the ball, then pass onto someone with more skill. This speed meant that opposing defenders couldn't defend a high line, allowing us more space between midfield and attack.
His shooting has always been poor....should have stayed with us for a bit longer.

I hope sterling doesn't play I hope England get knocked out.

They can find another scapegoat for hodgesons faliure.

Seeing my those muppets fighting again last night was the end of my support for the English national side.

What an embarrassment to the rest of us.

Europe probably wants to see the back of us.

From now on my support goes to Ireland birthplace of my father and a set of fans that are known for behaving and having the right attitude to following their team home and abroad.

==============

Really??

He had the potential but that's about it. He started to believe the hype & his agent did the rest.

Good business for Liverpool as it turns out.
