Me neither and i honestly don't care, that signing to me is more an ego thing from the owners, i would rather we added two or three for the same outlay as Talisca.
Changing to more foreign sounding names to increase the value is something that could have worked with a few of our players.
Stephan Wardinio
Christoph Berra
Samuel Vokessa
Michel Ki-Lee
bodvarrson sored 2 in 15 for bl2 ktown
and 2 in 26 for iceland
a real net ripper he is
He isn't going to be our long term answer but he is a feckin striker we need for Saturday.
Once Dicko is fit he can be our number one but lets be honest, we will sign another striker yet, you know it and i know it.
If this new Icelandic guy scores only one goal more that Sicky did last season, he'll have scored, er, one.
The viking may not be prolific but his size will make him a handful thus creating space for the others

Foreign non-entities?
Whilst i agree we need a Brit or two it is a little silly to class these guys as non-entities, Helder Costa played most of last season for Monaco who qualified for the champions league.
Bodvarsson shone for Iceland at the Euros.
Both would be on the radar of a lot of clubs in the prem and championship.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Look at his goals to games ratio.....it's cr@p
2 trialists on the u23's bench tonight.

You have changed your tune, yesterday yo said 'how do you know he won't score goals'.
I don't know if he will or not but I don't really think he will be a regular anyway but I do think be will be a handy sub.

Perton simply went from a white fluffy cloud to being chased by pitbulls over hot coals.
Just a few days ago perton was moaning that people were not being positive enough about the revolution we were about to witness. A few days into the revolution he is moaning that some people are feeling positive about the changes we are seeing

perton is, if i read his posts correctly, pointing out that the new owners buying power should be used in a more productive way.
all evidence shows that teams who get promoted from the champo do it with a core of 7 or 8 british isles players.
there are a number of outstanding british isles players available, such as pritchard and bamford, yet we are doing nothing to get them instead going for unproven third rate foreigners
what/who were you hoping for within a week of the takeover?

pritchard, bamford, osman would be a good start
Pritchard, Bamford, McCormack, that kind of player.
How big a loss are any of them really?
Huge if they go to other championship sides, we haven't got enough goals in the team.
McCormac now at villa £12 mil
strange how villa, norwich, brighton, all top end champo clubs , are all going for these british isles players
McCormack - 29 years old yes scores at this level - but why has no Prem club ever gone in for him..8 years in the champo?
Bamford - again question marks for me...1 goal in 3 games at this level not hugely prolific
Pritchard - I don't know huge amounts about but hope our Portugesers are better as a #10
Are Villa and Norwich top end champo? they just got relegated huge parachute payments and a recent history of top flight football...that has to be a draw no?.....our "project" is in its infancy and all we can sell is "potential"
Pritchard was injured most of last season and then couldn't get in a poor West Brom team. I wouldn't call him outstanding. He has had one good season at this level with Brentford.
