judging on the swansea game against the sheff wed game we are worse than last season and i dont see a few third rate foreigners changing that.

posted on 3/8/16

We are worse(incredible to think that was possible) thanks to Kennys shambolic pre season plan, we basically ignored two of the warm up games for zero reason.

Like I said before if the old regime was still here and we had only signed the players we have done so far this board would have been going mental, we don't have time to pi55 around, players and I mean good championship players should have been brought in. Jeff has 2 transfer windows to sort it, the second one should just be for tinkering, this is the window where all the main buying should be done.

Sort it Jeff..............now.

three english players would have turned our team around

lescott to sort the defence out
pritchard to create
mccormack or bamford to score

tell mendez to eff off or he'll do to us what he did to valencia

If the old regime were still here, we wouldn't have signed any of the players we have. We would be severely lacking at full back, no replacement midfielder would have been brought in for the outgoing KMac, we would be lacking a target man style striker (as we have for the previous two seasons when Dicko has been out) and we certainly wouldn't have signed a winger who had spent the previous season at Monaco.

You should thank your lucky stars we have made some signings, as things could be far worse.

Tam's took the words right out of my mouth

Wolfgang - have you seen Joleon later he's finished wouldn't want him back now

Perts - maybe just maybe....we have better lined up than Pritchard?

Promotion isn't won by Christmas - yes we are still lackin but there's the best part of a month of transfer window open yet

I think what we saw at the Swansea game was clear evidence that without an influx of quite a few players we were set to be relegation contenders regardless of who was manager, cause there would not have been much expenditure under the old regime.

The time to first judge the new regime, the new manager and the new players is at least six weeks into the season, not before the first match

..................
his experience would be enough, he just has to tell iorfa, batth, doherty what to do

Pedants corner; McCormack is not English, oh and will I am at it, English should have a capital.

I'm sure I read or "read" that Jeff wanted 5 players before the opener and 8 before the window closes?
well he's bang on target for the 5 - so lets not be too hasty to get on Fosun/Zenga's backs

We need more but it's a good start, four signings in what, ten days?

As tam has said, if the old Regine were here it would have been a winger from Stockport and a midfielder from Kettering.

Like I said if the old regime had signed these players there would be uproar on here and you all know it.

I would have been pleasantly surprised if the old regime had signed these players. Shows how low they had set the bar.

Now we have a new regime, the bar is higher. Particularly with how they have talked.

Perts I'd have been amazed if Moxey/Morgan/Kenneth could have convinced some Benfica starlets to come here

Perhaps you didn't read what I posted.

We wouldn't have even signed this level of player under the old regime.

But it doesn't stop here, we have got a few 'easy' ones over the line.

posted on 3/8/16

It wouldn't have entered the heads of the old regime to bring in players from Benfica, Athletico and Madrid. They would have been buying players from lower Championship teams or League One and the money they would have used was clearly going to come from selling Iorfa

Monaco not Madrd

DJ hits on a key point.

With the old regime we would have been cashing in on our talent before buying, now we won't have to.
