Expecting very little saturday so happy to be surprised, but given it has been a shocking pre season prep i can't see us winning.
1m bid for Peter crouch is to be accepted.
35.......ffs.
Ludicrous. Absolutely ludicrous.

Thought you wanted tried and tested players from Britain?
Younger than pirlo
Doubt we'd turn him down

You're seriously aren't comparing pirlo to crouch.
Lmfao.
Tino I wouldn't have thought you would have made a comment like that, others yes but not you.
Seriously we can do better than crouch, can't we?
He's never been any good.
you wanted British
you wanted experienced
you wanted a target man
YOU asked for all of these things - they have potentially sourced one and yet you still feckin chunter
Crouch is very tall and very gangly, and some people cant see past that. Reality is he has been a very good centre forward in both the Premier League and Internationals. 22 in 42 games for England is a far from shabby record. And actually he offers more on the ground than in the air.
My only question mark against him is whether at 35 he can still do the business
I think he'd be a good option to have
Would take Nugent first but wouldn't be unhappy with Crouch.
we are lacking experience and for a little transfer fee he'd certainly do the job for a season or two
Chunter ain't heard that for years

Ain't feckin chunterin.
We are richer than we ever have been and we plump for a 35 year old has been who is on 50k a week.
You can't tell me there are better options out there.
Our aim is to get out of the league and if Crouch can help us do that, then I don't see the problem. As has been said, he's very good with the ball at his feet and his additional height in the box won't go a miss either.
^^^ This
Crouch will be a reasonably cheap option £1m initial out-lay 50k x 52 weeks - £2.6m so all in just over £3.5m
will do us one season plus maybe another as a bench/rotation option - Name me a better target man Perts THAT would be WILLING to play in our division
For once I agree with Sunny.
He's still a total tosspot though.
