Liverpool won more games than Spurs last season.

True story.

I'm really not sure why people think Coutinho is inconsistent unless consistently scoring goals and creating chances is inconsistent.

0-0 written all over it both teams press and counter will negate each other.

Pools result at burnley was classic Sean dyche sneak one goal, at all time 11 men behind the ball commit just 2 men forward at any time. It was a 2-0 win but as undeserving as you can get. Pool didn't have the quality to break them down, we Spurs will go the exact same way against Burnley it will end the same if we don't score first.

I don't forget the 0-0 classic we had against them a few seasons back worst game of football I've ever seen.

Both Spurs and Liverpool are excellent at what they do hard working, pressing, energetic but very little plan b or quality in reserve. If it ain't your day it ain't your day.

0-0 written all over it.

Which is fine I expect us and pool to be best of the rest behind United Chelsea city and Arsenal.

I really can't see a 0-0.

Liverpool have only failed to score once or twice in the league this calendar year and we'll likely concede.

Jeez, you don't know anything do you?

How teams play against each other has NO bearing on who is the better team, all that matters is where you finish in the table. Or at least that is what Spurs fans would have you believe.

Amazingly Spurs record against the bigger clubs in recent years suggests that they are still far behind but a major portion of their fans (especially on these boards) think that they are now the better team because they have finished in the top 4.

He's a bit like Chadli... take away his goals, and his actual input on the performance is minimal.
=======================

Stop judging it on MOTD then mate.

His defensive work is excellent for example.

In the way that he can only coach a team for six months a year and that's why he has won nothing ever at all.

Already making excuses about the fixture list.

If we are at the races, we will win fairly comfortably.

---------

what about if spurs are also at the races?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think at our best we are a better side than Spurs at their best, we just show it far more rarely.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'd beg to differ. Last season showed we're a better side, the first two games of this season suggest we're a better side. The last 8 seasons, barring the 2013-14 season, suggest we're a better side.

With both teams playing at their best, I'd still say Spurs have a better, stronger side. We shall see. But we've finished above you every year, bar once, since 2009-10, so we're obviously doing something right.

Poch is a serial winner

Just look at his CV

He's managed some massive clubs

Again look at his CV

This game will be tight. Probably a draw or we'll nick it, we won't be giving you a battering like we normally do as your defence is pretty sound

Meh Spurs' 70 points suggests it more probable that it's what LFC are doing wrong.

Been confirmed that Lloris is out so it's Vorm in goal.

He can be got at. As can ours of course! Still a massive plus for us.

Thought so.

So the OP's saying we only turn up against the bigger teams but get beat by the smaller teams in the league, and he expects Spurs to win.

Confirms what we've known all along, Spurs are a small club.
