Which Liverpool team will turn up?

I would have us as favourites.

Our defence is substantially better than theirs, and we are the home side we should count for us.

I think it will be scrappy though, we are lacking a creative spark with Eriksen being off-form and Dembele being suspended.

Expect a 1-0 to us, conceding few chances and creating few.

Now if ever there was a player to be got at, it's your £140k a week man, Milner.
========================

I actually think that he's a good match up against the left footed Lamela who is not that quick.

I don't rate Walker so that doesn't really concern me.

Here's a bit of trivia on your lunchtime break:

When and by who was the last goal by Spurs against Liverpool at White Hart Lane?

I hope you have the answer, because I facking don't

Any team that gets taken to the cleaners by Burnley, who a few days later lost to Accrington cannot be taken as a major threat. Spurs are a top four team, Liverpool are a mid table team. Whatever the result on Saturday Liverpool will not be troubling Spurs unduly over the course of 38 games.

Gareth Bale but they have sold him.

So that's a Liverpool win then.

I love your predictions! How the league win coming along?

That's your loss really.

Few RB's as deadly on the counter (both creating and being an extra body), few get up and down the pitch as much, his 1 on 1 defending is exceptional these days, as is his arial presence. His passing is occasionally sloppy but hes the best RB in the league.

I'm not sure what you feel is "deadly" but Walker is not that. I'm not saying he has not improved but he's still susceptible on his inside channel. He can't pass either and his end product flatters in my opinion. With Kane in the middle and all those things going for him being deadly and no-one getting up and down more I'd expect more assists really.

That's actually a pretty fair article. Only points I'd make are:

Sturridge has scored 43 goals in 70 games for Liverpool, you think that's inconsistent?! Sturridge is injury prone not inconsistent. Put him on the pitch and he'll score goals.

The Klopp 'love-in' is basically enthusiasm/gratitude for having a manager who is arguably better than we have a right to expect at this moment in time. Believe me, that's still the case - Liverpool fans are very grateful to have him. Doesn't make him immune to criticism though.

As for the game, Spurs will start as favourites. They're a very good side these days and with home advantage they should be looking for a win.

I do hold out hope for Liverpool though, we thrive when teams come out to play against us rather than shut up shop. Spurs will come to play so if Liverpool play well then who knows.

Honestly you have to love these scousers, they finish behind Spurs every season, and yet they still think they have the btter team. Frankly I don`t even think Liverpool are a competitor for Spurs now. The gap gets bigger between the two clubs year on year.

Surely the penny must have dropped by now, you don`t go to team like Burnley second game of the season and get beat.

Sandy always banging on about history.

Liverpool won more games than Spurs last season. I'm not saying LFC will win but you set yourself up for some cracking falls Sandy. Don't you get bored of being wrong?

To be fair spurs have a more consistent team and a decent manager, but to be honest they will never be in the same level as Liverpool, and they know it!

I honestly have no problem with them, but to think they are now do e sort of super club is a bit if a stretch.

You only gave to look at the standard of signings they have made, in all honestly you never here of them competing with any major club for players, they are more of a feeder club punching above their weight.

Me I think well win 1-3, Burnley was poor , but to think it's a benchmark for the rest if the season after just 2 games is laughable.

Any club that concentrates on finishing above their rival as supposed to lifting a trophy is a small club and will remain so!

-----------

is this as a size of club, or as a football team?

as a football team we have more than surpassed you, and have for a good while now, excluding the one season where suarez was unplayable.

as a club I concede that Liverpool are much bigger

If Spurs have more than surpassed and all that jazz where exactly are the medals?

We've even taken your net spend trophy.

I know what'll settle this. This club that's finished 2nd or above in the last 50 years wins.
