Just heard Bamba has signed. Is that true? I hope not, why get rid of bucko if Bamba is the class of players we are signing?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Griff, Bamba hasn't signed. Listening to NP on radio Derby he called him and asked him he if could train with the team . Nigel has worked with him before and he said yes, fine . Nothing more than that. Besides, the transfer window is shut and we cannot sign or loan players until January anyway...

Thought you could with 'free agents' đ¤ but I will stand corrected đ
That's why Wes Brown was with Blackburn today.
Just back from the game. Incredibly depressing to find ourselves in the bottom three but we are better than that.
Yes, we lost. It's embarrassing, especially as Blackburn we're poor. I don't yet feel like we're in a Pearson out moment. It's still a work in progress and there are some encouraging signs. It's going to be a long term project though, promotion this season looks a long way off.
Let's give it a few more months. The squad is good, our bench today would be the envy of many championship teams (on paper at least). If Pearson hasn't got these players "clicking" by Christmas then he is not the man for us. I will give him the benefit of the doubt a while longer,
I'll have a pint of what you're drinking Larry.
Larry, đ We're NOT better than that. We can't score, the players aren't playing and they scored more than us. A very ordinary Blackburn team.
Dour talk from Mr Pearson following a dour performance, and some of you were anti Clough.....
A) he was dour but had no money
B) Mr Pearson has money but wants to change the whole system....it isn't going to work overnight or properly ever with #dour face
Are we better than that Larry, We lost to a poor Blackbirn side, the previous week we drew with a medocre Bristol. Prior to that we lost to a poor Ipswich, a good Newcastle and a poor Burton side. The table starts to tell truth around this time. We were better than this until the management changed.
Vydra scored but he only had 5 touches in the entire game. He makes Darren Bent look industrious. I thought Bent was industrious today. Won a few headers.
Anya had the Blackburn number 3 in knots in the first half but we hardly exploited this in the second.
Pearson will soon be challenging his record at Carlisle. !6.9% wins there. He is already our worst ever manager statistically but apparently that is ridiculous to some.
NP is vandalizing this team he has to go we're a top 10 side even with our pre Pearson problems, losing the ball in MF, losing our fluidity against pressing teams, nose dives.
Someone that can build on the strengths from the get go and address the weaknesses.
Let's start the recovery now and forget this ever happened
Their first goal Carson was caught low down at his far post yet again. Their second goal a defensive midfielder wouldn't have allowed the player who played the through ball to be able to pick their spot. Pearson doesn't believe in defensive midfielders. He likes losing though, apparently.
We are better than the current table position implies (if you set aside reality and enter into a counter factual "what might have been" view). We "should have" beaten both Ipswich and Bristol, arguably. I would contend that we could be sitting comfortably mid table if a few minor things had gone our way. Would we then be pushing for Pearson to go or be willing to give him a few more months. I think the latter.
I have been drinking Railway Porter in the Brunswick, by the way. I can highly recommend it. Four pints creates a wonderful Rose tint to life!
If only we'd brought in Michael Carrick to play the defensive midfield. The wages of Bent, Ince, Johnson and Blackman would have covered this.
Matt Ritchie would have been nice as well. With these two we would be nearer the top than now.
Get a railway porter to carry Pearson's bags.....
We are too good to be relegated. The lament of fans of relegated clubs. Pearson is smart though, Clement was sacked when we were 5th, Wassall was sacked when we were fifth. He is just reducing our chances of being fifth.
We aren't going to be relegated. Let's give Pearson more time to get it right. It's not been good enough last three seasons and needed to change.
Pearson may yet prove to be unequal to the challenge of promotion. Too early to call that now, in my opinion.
Stick, not twist! (For now)
The man seems immune to performances. We are way below par, sinfully so. He should never have been appointed but keeping him out of stubbornness is more folly than employing him in the first place. If Rowett agrees to playing football when he has players that can play then go with him. If not fire now Idiakez n CP interim as long as they both promise to give up on 2 up front until we have personnel in that can make it a viable option. Let's get our passing game back tween now n Xmas, then make some additions (sensible) then go for it. Guarantee the players won't play this badly for a manager that works to their strengths.

Well Larry, he has certainly changed things. From winning we are now losing. That is progress. I am certain if given time he will get us out of the championship.
Why did we need to change so radically? As I have pointed out Watford and Swansea changed managers but kept the same style, even though they kept missing out on promotion. Now where are they? Derby decide we have to change everything despite qualifying for the playoffs in two out of the last three seasons.
Strangley I am finding myself in complete agreement with 2W but why would Rowett want to come here.
Darren Wassall was so bad he only 50% of his games. Glad we have Pearson now.
At least Wassall knew when something went 5hite. We still have a good set up, a loose cannon (to put it mildly) of an owner, a good passing team when allowed to pass. Keep the basics and work on putting some steel in gradually, don't change the whole philosophy of the club cos Mascarell wasn't the next Geraint Williams.
If Billy comes back, that's my football watching career finished. But I would like NC back.
'I have been drinking Railway Porter in the Brunswick, by the way. I can highly recommend it. Four pints creates a wonderful Rose tint to life!'
Well I can certainly agree with you about that, Larry
I'm not a Pearson fan boy. I'm as disappointed as everyone else with our current performance.
My point is 9 games is too soon to rush to the "change manager" option. Let's give him more time. The alternative, a change this soon, would be worse.
Back in Belper now. The Bishops Farewell at the Black Bulls Head is topping up my optimism. Will tomorrow's hang over bring a wave of depression in which I tear up my season ticket and vow never to enter the ipro again until NP is sacked?
Right. 9 games (ignoring the underwhelming cup performances) and 3rd from bottom, even with so-called "rebuilding" is totally unacceptable.
To assume that we will improve ignores the possibility that so can everyone else.
OHDCFCSC not impressed.
