I think it will go one of two ways
Either Liverpool win comfortably and its hailed as a Klopp masterclass in showing up Mourinho tactically, giving further evidence to Liverpool heading in the right direction, whilst United continue to fall from the heady heights of the Fergie era.
Or, United gain a narrow victory that is still hailed as a Klopp masterclass and further evidence that Liverpool are heading in the right direction despite the unfair result, and it still asks more questions about Mourinho's suitability as United boss, and are they really any closer to getting back to where they were.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Another option.
Liverpool narrowly beat United who have at least 1 player sent off and Maureen blames the catering staff, coach driver and the contractors who built the new stand for his ineptitude.
He will claim they goaded his player into a rash tackle and they are at fault for his sending off.
I'll be honest guys. Liverpool should win this game based on the form of the two sides.
However, we have an international break coming up where who knows what injuries, loss of form/tempo may occur.
If I recall the LFC fans were like this back in 2015 before our game at Anfield when a midfield of Herrera, Carrick and Fellaini comfortably beat them that day.
By all means crow if you win (I know we'd do the same) but best save it for after the game.

you've missed out the penalty/penalties that Liverpool are going to get.
5 in 5 suggests an improvement though, no?
Sure I'd rather it was 0 in 5, but it's not disastrous.
I'm pretty sure we have had less shots on our goal that anyone else in the league (or close to), which considering who we have played is an impressive defensive stat for a team who are apparently terrible defensively.
Our defensive frailty is overplayed. We have some certainly, but not as much as rivals would like to believe.
It says a lot that Liverpool are said to have had a great start to the season and we've had a poor/average one yet one result can put us ahead of them.
It says that we are early in the season.

But United have bought players....
Should be a good match. The way we are playing you'd fancy us, but United are playing some pretty good stuff too ( should have beat Stoke comfortably really) and also have done well in this fixture the last couple of years to frustrate us. Both games we were playing well going into them too.
I expect Mourinho will pack the midfield and look to frustrate and make the most of crosses into our box. First goal is crucial, if it's ours I think we will win comfortably, United get it I can't see us scoring.
The difference between our relative starts to the season being we have played Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs, Swansea away. United have played Bournemouth, Hull and Watford.

Exactly. People are prematurely ejaculating over Liverpool

I can see why people would reach this conclusion, but for the time being this United side have some way to go to resemble a 'true' Mourinho team. They kept a lot of clean sheets under LvG by basically playing keep-away, but I don't see them playing that way successfully under JM.

We weren't playing anywhere near as well the last two years as we have even recently.
We playing well relative to other form in those seasons, but it's a chasm between now and then.
The 2-0 comfortable Europa win is a better marker being the most recent game and a night game.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
True.
However so far this season it's United who lead the way on dropping points against the lower teams. Stoke are relegation favourites.Watford are bottom half.
Not buying this idea about the result hinging on who scores first.
Think both teams are just as capable of throwing away a lead.
Midfield is key. If we dont tighten up in midfield their attacking players will exploit that space ala City game, and it could be very damaging. I would recall Michael Carrick to keep retention of the ball
It's very simple why Liverpool are being praised in the media and Utd are not.
We have played 9 games winning 7 and scoring 26 goals.
Utd have played 10, winning 6 and scoring 18.
Shocking that a team that wins more and scores more gets praised in the media.
Or to sum up,
Nobody knows what will happen.

Not really. Burnley and Swansea aside, we've looked really good. When we went 1-0 down to Swansea, most on here were celebrating the inevitable Swansea victory. It's only one game but the signs are we may be addressing our main weakness.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wrong.
Klopp has faced Maureen 5 times and has won 3, Maureen 1 and 1 draw. In those 5 matches Klopp's teams have scored 11 whereas Maureen's have scored 7.
The only time they met in the PL Chelsea got tonked 3-1 by Liverpool so I have to assume you think that was a Klopp masterclass.
After all, whenever a team managed by Maureen wins it's a Maureen masterclass so surely when Klopp beats him it's a Klopp masterclass.
And so far, Klopp is the master of Maureen.

I thought about their h2h, and I didn't watch the Chelsea-Liverpool game, but tbh I'm not sure those 4 games he managed vs Klopp while at Madrid are going to be that good an indicator.
They had the greater possession in all 4 of those games vs BvB, but I'm not so sure he'll be so proactive for this match.
