The most ironic thing here is that Levy is spending their transfer budget on trying to move them to the other side of London to rent a stadium.
He's doing that because they don't have the resources to build their own stadium because they have such a teeny income.
________________________________________
Actually you are wrong in this regard, Levy looked on the OS as both an opportunity and leverage. The opportunity was the potential to save £200m and get a site to build a purpose built football stadium. The leverage is regarding Haringey Council losing its biggest revenue organisation.............................this now looks to be paying off, especially with the recent riots which has focused Government eyes on how run down the area is.
Sandsend......................................THFC is actually owned by ENIC of which Daniel Levy is a major shareholder, ENIC itself is part of the Tavistock Group which is headed up by Joe Lewis.
Lewis comes to WHL only a couple of times a year, this is primarily for tax reasons, he is only allowed to spend so many days a year in the UK................I am not sure as to relevance, why it should be a problem not visiting the Club every week...........................I also think that descending into pitiful insults is not the way to go about things...........................................When people start talking about the size of someone's parts, then I think its that person's problem not the person they are trying to goad.
The original post was stupid because no one knows what is going to happen down the road................................

It's childish fake supporters like Ensil that drag your clubs name through the dirt IMO, thankfully most people don't read football forums
especially with the recent riots which has focused Government eyes on how run down the area is.

Finally, an admission from a Tottenham fan that the Tottenham area of London has no class. You lot (generally) love to call us C **v's, with no class etc. but our manor is the Playground of the Rich and Famous while you're area is the home of the looter.
Greaves.
"I am not sure as to relevance, why it should be a problem not visiting the Club every week"
when one gets idiots referring to our owners workings within the club, it does become a statement of intent. Joe Lewis is entitled to stay on these shores for 90 days per year if my memory serves, and is never seen at a game, this I have no issue with, when however, an interlocutor starts making comments regarding "When Roman tires of his toy, it takes on a meaning of its own by comparison.
Re my parts, as I said, I'm 52, they are less and less significant as the years roll on
Greavesie
"Levy looked on the OS as both an opportunity and leverage. The opportunity was the potential to save £200m and get a site to build a purpose built football stadium"
Why are Spurs not looking to buld their own stadium a la Arsenal, your owners are wealthy as Crassus from what we are told, why the long pocket syndrome

Your comment is a prime example of a lack of class.
You denigrate a rundown and disadvantaged working class area with a at the people who live there. You talking about the ostentatious wealth of the area you frequent, as if it was some sort of personal achievement, is very poor form.
Blanchflowers Boots
I'd suggest you do a bit more research before spouting your drivel!
My comment was in direct response to one of yours, consistently referrring to us having no class on this actual thread. I'd suggest you read back before jumping to conclusions.
A bit more thought before posting perhaps
Actually you are wrong in this regard, Levy looked on the OS as both an opportunity and leverage. The opportunity was the potential to save £200m and get a site to build a purpose built football stadium.

What? Are you now saying he never wanted the OS just the land to build on?
Doesn't the OS have to keep it's running track as required by the Legacy Committee therefore meanuing you can't knock it down and build a purpose built football stadium?

When the inhabitants of that part of north London stop reffering to our fans as c;havv;s, then I suggest it will cease, but until then they are just loading a gun and handing it to their opponents
CPofL. :
Not quite up with the facts, are you.
The OS bid tender made no such demands on the track.
Hence the THFC PLC bid.
Unless of course you are ITK regarding the above ...
I also think that descending into pitiful insults is not the way to go about things...........................................

What a hypocrite.... or did you forget your comment to askdanny?
Finally, an admission from a Tottenham fan that the Tottenham area of London has no class.

I was responding to the above crass generalisation made by yourself.
As I am not personally related to any other poster I prefer to address my comments to the person who made them. You.
Actually it was me that said that you have no class - that you all continue to prove the point with your petty and childish insults, prejudiced statements and ill-informed comments makes my original statement 100% correct.
It's not just those that support Spurs that refer to you as ch4vs - it's everyone that thinks of you as classless that does so.
CPofL...................What? Are you now saying he never wanted the OS just the land to build on?

Our proposal always had the stadium WITHOUT a track..........................................and the plan was to knock the stadium down, use the existing foundations and build a FOOTBALL Stadium there. The original requests did not cite keeping the running track as a criteria, this only got introduced once proceedings got under way.
You may not realise, but this particular stadium was built to be dismantled...................................its modular design meant it could actually be moved to anywhere in the world. At one time it is thought Brazil would take it for the 2016 games, but Brazil changed their minds.
Another fact that necessitates re-building is the total lack of facilities inside the stadium itself.
No corporate facilities, no toilets, food stands etc.............these facilities part of an area just outside the building.........................
Sansend....................Why are Spurs not looking to buld their own stadium a la Arsenal, your owners are wealthy as Crassus from what we are told, why the long pocket syndrome.
The NPD was all set and then the Met Police, Tfl & English Heritage through spokes in the wheels, with their demands the cost of the NPD increased by at least £100m.............................................this now being looked at and it is likely that non ground infrastructure will be covered under the Regeneration Scheme available to all.
DC5 I see you have now added hypocracy to the list as well.

hypocrisy....................
You "Were responding to the crass generalisation made by myself" but chose to totally ignore one of your fans generalising about all Chelsea fans from wherever they are having "No class".
There is no generalisation here in my next statement, it is very specific and only aimed at you, you are a complete hypocrite!!
You're going to need a bigger brain to try to trade with me
CPofL...................Kindly remind me of my comment to askdanny, I would suggest that I was responding to comments he made towards myself.
Aaaaah the spelling police. A true sign of a beaten and defeated hypocrite.
Just because someone has money doesn't give them class - there are more examples of this being the case than there are of the opposite.
I would prefer to remain true to my own roots, and for the club I support to do so too, than to be part of something tainted by undeserved wealth.
Having a rich sugar daddy doesn't give you class, neither does it give you style, sense or substance.
Your club, a club that I can honestly admit to once having some respect and fondness for, sold its soul to the highest bidder - in doing so it relinquished any right it might once have had for others to think well of it.
From my viewpoint I think the classless references are towards the Club & its owner................................you as a club have been caught numerous times either illegally approaching or tapping up players, Cole & Arnesen readily spring to mind in regard to us. No matter what you say, it was someone from within Chelsea who revealed the details of Modric's wages offer from you..................
Kindly remind me of my comment to askdanny
-----------------------------
Oh come now for one who apparently doesn't use childish insults towards others you must remember such a stand out ocassion as that.Hell, you even ended your comment to him with 'yes that is an insult'
I would love, seriously I really WOULD love, for my accuser to show me where I have been hypocritical.
Sign in if you want to comment
