tosses are pointless.. if your crap your crap.. as for don bradman..I don't care about his stats. you cant compare anyones record from any time era. he went to sh|t in bodyline.. before then he more than likely faced slow bowlers that bowled so slow he could change his shot 3 times.
Amazing analysis
It was your view that win the toss in India and you have won half the battle or more in tests. Cooky too had the same opinion until he lost the series. In T20, I think batting second is huge advantage except Pak and dew factor makes it a difference also!
Back in the games it was a gentleman's sport.. Bradman faced 25 overs an hour.. all he faced most of the time was dibbly dobbly bowlers.. after he got 200 he shock hands with his opponents then walked off for close of play.
The best teams in cricket history have had a mean streak in them and won from any position. even when they lost the toss.. the aussies of the 90s and early 2000s were an arrogant bunch. But they had the ability to back it up.
so the toss isn't usually that important.. You have to find ways to win..
back in the day^^ and shook not shock hands..(there should be an edit button on this site)
No doubt Aussies were way ahead but don't forget Windies in their prime. My Grandfather told me that it was a treat & privilege to watch them play.. I don't think any bowlers of today could compete with them and the power of Sir Vivian Richards without such huge bats and short boundaries. Also he played most of his career without helmet and not much protection! The pitches used to be lot tougher to bat also..

India very lucky, game changed by a terrible umpiring decision.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not sure about the game changer, but just seen that decision. Awful. Time for neutral umpires in all formats of the game
Kohli didn't do much and root was in the last over but would like to see better umpiring. Kohli looked out at first glance. It's easy to miss an inside edge in real time..numerous DRS decisions have proved this......but kohli I should have been given. Looked plumb
England tossed it away. Were nailed on to win but when stokes was out that was it. Root couldn't handle the pressure. I don't think he is a good t20 player can't play the big shots. I was at the lancs v yorks Match. He scored 92 not out but was too slow and lancs won easily. Tests and 50 loved a shoe in but t20 his place must be under threat. The umpiring was very dubious to say the least a throwback to the Mike getting ways. Good death bowling by India but shouldn't have got that far. England choked under pressure again that's why I can't see them winning a big tournament.
Umpire Shamshuddin
He is a poor umpire in domestic cricket too. He may fit in Pak or Bangla cricket set up for sure with his skills!
Re the Root comments above, absolute rubbish.
His T20 strike rate is the same as Virat Kohli and Ab De Villiers.
In the regular England side only Stokes and Buttler have higher strike rates.
I see the cheating Indian umpire maybe replaced.. Good. We don't want a repeat of his antics again.
That cheating umpire got what he wanted which was a IPL contract.
Same old comment Kashy! Nothing new huh! I'm sure umpire Shamshuddin bhaijaan will do just fine in PSL too
Or even BPL
But you're more than happy for Broad to play for England again? Remember that edge against Agar?
You hypocritical idiot.
whats that got to do with an umpire cheating?? aren't umpires suppose to be neutral?
Liver,
We all agree umpire Shamshuddin is just poor quality.. So don't get it what ur harping on Also many times we have been on receiving end but you or other folks ignore it. Why double standard liver? Remember u made a thread about umpire errors but then cheated as usual. My humble suggestion just grow up boy!
No I think most rational people think the umpire in the last game favoured India. It was pretty obvious too see.. I don't know why people hide behind "oh he was poor quality" The Umpire made errors that cant be explained other than favouritism.
So why u hide when many decisions go against India?
This particular umpire sucks in domestic season too. Now don't say he is favoring teams in those games also! I can bring numerous examples when English umpires gave wrong decisions against India but I will never blame them. I wouldn't hide the weakness of our team behind umpires. I'm not so fond of T20 either but England should have won that game no matter what!
Also remember ur thread on such issues pal? Or should I look somewhere in graveyards
Let's be honest, the standard of umpiring is not what it used to be 5 to 10 years ago.
Let's make a petition at change.org that DRS be included in the last T20 game!
Produced & supported by Liver & company!

Agree with this... but that virat call was ridiculously ridiculous... If you don't give that out then you might as well cancel the LBW rule.. not a surprise most are calling it a home decision.
Yeah so focused on Virat's dismissal.. appreciate your expert comments. How come you always forget to mention when your team gets favors. Thanks to bloody Dharamsena that you won last ODIs series in India 2-1. Youanus was plumb LBW and that changed the series but that is OK? Oh forgot he got the IPL contract too
Fortunately Virat's decision didn't affect the match much compared to Younis. England should have won the game but they bottled like ur famous team..
