We are fantastic at getting wickets once both batsmen have reached their hundreds...
Seriously, what will be the excuse today?
Last match everyone said Rashid was not good enough at International level.
He's been dropped, So now, what will be the latest excuse?
JT: Latest excuse: They don't care!
Rashid was England leading one day wicket taker and then gets dropped for one bad game.
Fact Taker, I think the sooner we realise that the whole bowling attack is not good enough, the better.
Also, where are Anderson and Broad? How many other teams are resting or drop their main 2 bowlers? If England had a great ODI bowling attack, I wouldn't mind so much.
lets see what England do before we jump to conclusions
I bet Yuvraj wishes Broad would play
Kashy file the petition at change.org: bring back Rashid..
Good luck
JT,
Jimmy got scared and Broady I think playing BBL..
Kash, maybe Rashid has decent statistics, but the way he bowled in the last match in the situations he was in was absolutely abysmal. He should have stepped up as the main spinner, instead he was bowling like an Under-13 spinner playing against men.
However, I do agree, Rashid is not the main problem, as we have seen, the bowling "attack" is just laughable outside home conditions
This is modern day cricket now. If the wicket is flat then 330 is par score and 360 is chaseable.
Good to see Dhoni answer his critics.
Agree Kash - all loos good now. We'll only know how good it is when we see England collapse at the crease
Modern days cricket doesn't mean you bowl like a pie chucker. Why not just get rid of bowlers and just have machines, so we can see how much runs can be made?
Yes, definitely agree that a par score is higher than in the past, but I don't think modern cricket should be all about maximising your score when on a flat pitch against a weak bowling attack. That's not cricket.
Nice how they saved Woakes' final over once the score was 370...
I still fancy England to chase this
Not a chance....
How badly did they bowl today?
Looks like Morgan captained well again... Moeen the most economical only bowls 6 overs...
Plunkett meanwhile goes for 91!
And people going on about Broad and Anderson need to get with it and look at the bigger picture.
Both have struggled with niggles and injuries in recent years and are more important to our test team than the pyjama cricket.
Not many bowlers play all 3 formats these days without suffering consequences. Look at Starc and Steyn.
I sent broad playing in the big bash??
He's not playing 50 overs though is he.
It's not gonna help with those niggles.
Root wicket is key here. He is one of few batsman that can turn this game for England. If he goes - its over.
Mind you, never would have expected Yuvi and Dhoni to do that.
Even if Broad and Anderson are not to be picked, at the very least try to build a bowling line up, not just hope they will restrict the other team somehow...
If you feel Plunkett is your pace ace, he should've played in the last match. Yes, he got smacked today, but if he had picked up a couple of wickets in the last game, England would've stood a chance.
Anyway, let's see if anything can be done here to chase it down...
Good start from England - I feel they need to go after either Jadeja or Ashwin. Cant just plod along with both
