Plus Mustafi should have had a penalty early in the second half. One of those rare games that actually evened out.

Hi GG

The fouled Aesenal player was DEFF offside so it couldn't have been a pen

City deff a Pen but was the first City goal handball , it seemed to me that the ball was controlled with the arm before it was tapped into the net

Unfortunately it was a blatant penalty. Salty Spurs tears always taste better when we cheat to win. Shame Kos had to have his head almost kicked off to get a pen

Not giving a penalty is not quite the same. This is a highly paid referee who got the Laws of the game wrong!

Yes I agree squid, Gironde was offside as well.

Sorry, but when has kicking a player in the head not been a foul - no matter where the head is?

Giroud should have put Koscielny. Bats.!

the foot up(although I would argue head down) high is DANGEROUS PLAY, punishable by an indirect free kick. You need to understand the Laws of the game.

DJM, read the Laws of the game it was a high boot, which is dangerous play. There was no intent to kick your player, who incidentally had his head down at chest height

Kicking a player in the head after the ball is gone is a FOUL. Should have been red, very reckless.

Hi DJ
Sorry mate once a player is offside then the game stops for a free kick
The Burnley player could be carded but that's it

You said yourself it wasn't high

Linesman needs to go to Specsavers first thing tomorrow morning.

Introduction of video technology would also assist the officials and ensure that correct decisions are made. Unfortunately the dinosaurs that run the game are too shortsighted to realise this.

Sir Digby if you can't be polite, don't comment.

I am neither racist nor trying to be clever. I was just unsure who the Arsenal player involved was.

Once that decision isn't given then you move on.
The one on Mustafi was the clearest penalty of the lot tbf. Give that and the rest of the game changes.

You can't have your foot at Chest height either

DJM...........stop trying to be clever, you know what I meant. Your player ducked down into the boot. It was 6 of one and half a dozen of the other.

My point was if it was given as dangerous play, it is indirect free kick. There was no apparent intent to kick your guy.

Which would still be dangerous play

You can't reason with these cheating g00ns don't bother.

No Sir Digby, not touchy. If you imply racial overtones in my post, you are gone. Simple really, especially when you allude to it by mentioning French players.

FFS, man. The pen was given for a foul, not dangerous play: you know, for actually impeding Koscielny with a kick to the head. Not sure what is hard to understand there.
Also like how not a single one of all these salty fans have mentioned that the clearest penalty for a challenge on Mustafi wasn't awarded.

No mate. Our player headed the ball and then got a face full of studs

The ref got 3 big decisions correct (red, both pens) but missed a lot (pen on Mustafi, elbow on Mustafi - second one, first seemed genuine challenge)

posted on 22/1/17

Well you did confuse the 2 French players.

Anyway you are wrong.

It was a penalty as it was a foul.

It would have been dangerous play if he didn't connect
