They are called thinking words. Many people use them, particularly, if like most sportsmen, you aren't very eloquent. If you are a trained public speaker you just leave gaps.

Beckham said 'you know' about 3 times per sentence.

Nigel Clough says 'Errr..' the same.

Martin Baz? Hendrick?

I have heard Martin give interviews and he sounds very professional.

Im on about Martin and Hendrick not being lightweight Spart. Thanx Pearson. Nutter.

Pearce is quite eloquent too.

I heard an interview from Christie the other day. He started every sentence, when answering a question with: 'absolutely, yeah, no...' must have said it 15 times in about 3 minutes!

Backo, yes I agree. Thorne would be welcome back too...

We will have 2 out the 3 back for next season Baz. But my boy is lost to the Premier League now...even worse its at a hole like Burnley.

RD were going mad about the lack of leadership out there too first half: not just Keogh, but nobody was talking, cajoling, shouting, taking ownership.. we need leaders, not just big lads.

Wee Willie Carlin bossed midfield in the days when you were allowed to kick lumps out of your opponent. Gemmill wasn't much bigger. It's not being big enough, it's being good enough that counts.

Don't necessarily agree Spart. The game has changed, along with many sports. You have to be powerful athletes these days (with the odd exception, naturally). We get muscled off the ball far too frequently, often by upper body strenght I notice it countless times per game.

666 I agree. We aren't vocal enough either. I often notice that too.

Martin and Hendrick were both big enough and good enough. Pearson said otherwise. Berk.

What you should say Baz is that many footballers have chemically enhanced physiques. The FA's drug testing routines have been shown to be a joke. Rugby is even worse. How many of the beef mountains playing today were "clean"?

It wasn't just Pearson though Backo, NP hinted at having to sell (nearly) the wardrobe and properly sell Hendrick to keep in line with FFP.

Then bought Vydra and Anya for £12 million 2W??? Come on 2W. Pearson didnt float the players and it was nothing to do with FFP.

posted on 11/2/17

So how come we bought Vydra and Anya for about 12M?

posted on 11/2/17

Beat me to it Backo.

posted on 11/2/17

How much did Anya and Vydra cost.......

posted on 11/2/17

Watford haven't stopped laughing yet.

posted on 11/2/17

I dunno he just said of course we have to stay in line with FFP too, maybe it was just to appease Backo.

Not to appease me 2W..theres plenty more out there that rate Martin and Hendrick. And to replace them with Vydra and Anya is ridiculous. Nothing to do with FFP.

I agree Backo I think NP was trying to build his Leicester with those players though, whilst still thinking Bryson and Hughes could be Kante and Drinkwater.

We blame Pearson for this but the real mistake was in appointing him, it was like appointing Tony Pulis to manage the Barca side .... only on slightly different scales.

Those highlights missed out Taylor putting the ball over the top from 1 yard out. I was amazed that anyone could do it. A real let off for us.

2W, Peasron didn't even pick Hughes for the first game.

posted on 11/2/17

Peasron, thanks very much and I'll have them wrapped.
