Good to see Luke Shaw back in the fold. Hopefully he puts on a worldie tomorrow so we can solve that LB issue once and for all.

Agree. Still the best LB at the club imo.
He's still playing a blinder with the Rooney situation.
"“Until now, no-one runs away when I arrive at the training ground"
Finally Shaw is getting a chance, hopefully he knuckles down and proves Jose wrong
Yeah some positive words on Shaw, hopefully he's getting in the right mindset that Mkhi had earlier in the season, and more importantly he takes his chances in the team like Mkhi did.
Process
At present Blind is a better LB than Shaw.
Everyone's got an opinion on Shaw and I agree with Process. He could still turn out to be the best left back in England but needs games and performances to show it is still there after nearly 2 seasons of not very much.
Mkhi hopefully back in the side and fresh for the tough schedule coming up with the trip to Russia and Chelsea in the cup.
Even if he was okay, i'd not risk him tomorrow. Hopefully we have enough in the side with Mata filling in against Bournemouth at home.
Sounds like Shaw is trying hard in training, just needs to express and believe in himself more on the pitch.

Agreed.
Praising him. Making him feel important but falling short of begging for him to stay. The ball is now completely in Rooney's court with the question being is he happy to be sub? A contrast to how he speaks about Zlatan.

I hope a prolonged period out of the team will make him want it more. Be good for him to get a game tomorrow, and be another option, with all the games coming up. There's a good player in there, we've seen some evidence of that, just needs to prove it consistently now when given the chance.
Mhki isn't essential tomorrow, Bournemouth are useless as keeping clean sheets. As long as we can keep a clean sheet or concede just the odd goal we should be fine I think.

Is that based on there best performances for the club or based on Blind always being fit?
Gotta love Jose
He has the memorable quotes ala LVG but also the ability to back it up.
Fully expecting us to be in 4th place for at least a few hours tomorrow.

Blind does some things better than Shaw but he struggles against quick powerful wingers. At their best I'd have Shaw over Blind at LB any day.
If we miss another chance to go above someone finally tomorrow, it will be a full scale meltdown on here.

Exactly. He called Zlatan fundamental while pretty much saying Rooney is a decent option to have.
“So he’s not a player you play in the last minute, to give hm a gift to be in a wining final, he’s a player you trust and you are going to play, with making probably your crucial change.
Unintentionally dig at Fellaini there?
Blind has done better than Shaw at LB for us but I'd say Shaw's performances for Saints are a level or 2 above Blind's performances at LB. It's whether Shaw can reach his Saint's level and go beyond it while also stay fit for prolonged periods.

More of a dig at players like Schweiny than Fellaini. He's never played Fellaini just to give him a minute for the 'occasion', he brings him on when he thinks we need to defend a last minute barrage of high balls or if we need to go route one.

I'd say some of Shaws performances at the start of last season were better than anything Blind has done but that's just my opinion
Kung Fu
It is based on Blind being able to defend better. Although he did have a bad day a few weeks back.
Blind also offers more going forwards.

I dont think it was a dig at anyone at all
Imo he was sending on Rooney to hopefully get the goal to save us going into extra time
Sent on fellaini Instead to help protect the lead
