I think they just want to see a very well rewarded player earn his wages. Irrespective if what colour they are.
______________
I agree. I have mostly defended Pogba all season from the constant criticism but I have not seen any criticism that led me to even suspect that racism was the basis of it.
I would say that the player who has received the most comparable criticism to Pogba in recent years is Rooney. I.e. a player that people feel has not lived up to his hype/reputation. In the past it was Becks, etc.
Basically, the bigger the reputation, fee, wages, etc. the higher peoples' expectations of the player in question.
Of course racists exist but I'm not convinced they are relevant to this discussion.
------------------------
I agree entirely. Playing the race card in an attempt to make out that Pogba isn't really playing as bad as is being made out is quite pathetic.

Not buying that it's racist personally.
Contract rebels always get grief - that's standard no matter what your colour.
Not sure Pogba is getting that much grief either. Is he getting more than Torres or Shevchenko did? Carroll? Suarez? Terry? Giggs? Rooney? People sung songs for years about Wenger liking little boys!
The reality is that he is the world most expensive player reaching a level similar to Mark Noble atm.
-----------------
He isn't getting grief. He is just getting judged fairly by the fans. I actually think that he has had a fairly easy ride from the press/journos so far. It could have been a lot worse.

If black young players play well they often escape criticism, but if black young players don't live up to their potential the amount of horrendous criticism they get is appalling.
Oh dear, Pogba did some adverts, got a hashtag and did a dab. Which isn't white British culture. He hasn't lived up to a £90m price-tag which isn't his fault but has genuinely been relatively impressive. Why slander every ounce of his character, and not try and keep the faith with him like you did Di Maria who was far worse?
______________
I can't work out if this poster is serious but his post is pure bollox from start to finish.
I have literally never felt that a United player was given more abuse from United fans due to his skin colour. In fact, who was the last black United player to be heavily criticised before Pogba? Djemba Djemba??
As for Di Maria, anyone who says that guy did not get any abuse is a proper clown. Abuse is pretty much all he got from the majority of United fans!
Rooney has been slated for years. Even RVP was slated in his second and third seasons at United. Fellaini gets slated all the time. Jones gets slated all the time. Rojo has been slated loads, etc etc etc. Even Zlatan has been slated by some of our fans and he is our top scorer!
But if Pogba gets slated after a poor game then it is racist? Get a facking grip.

The constant pogba criticism baffled me. Yes he played rubbish yesterday but still managed to set up a clear cut chance
When it comes to dribbles completed hes one of the top players stats wise. Hes completed more passes in the opposition half than any other player in the prem and more completed through balls than anyone else in the prem (stats that a CM should get judged on)
Not to mention if Zlatan alone was to finish the clear cut chances pogba gives him pogs would be on double digits for assists
goal wise he scored 10 in 49 games in each of his past 2 seasons for juve so the tally of goals he is on at the moment is consistent with that
maybe the price tag blinds people but that isnt his fault.

That game in particular Klopp instructed his team to be extremely narrow, to the point where the commentators picked up on it

Why is nobody slating Rashford or Martial if people have a problem with young black players with money? Both have been underwhelming this season and yet they have, for the most part, escaped any major criticism.
Also, which other United players does Robb feel have been criticised harshly due to the colour of their skin? Surely he must have a long list of players to back up his theory?
And no doubt he has a solid explanation for why the least popular players in our squad are all white?.
Basically, Robb knows that he can't defend Pogba on this occasion so he attacks everyone criticising him with an accusation of racism. It is hard to stoop much lower than that.
