Why do they need to certify that their eggs are Halal FFS
Well pig fat aka geletine is often an ingredient used in some chocolate. As Muslims don't eat pig some off the shelf chocolates are not halal. So thank you Cadbury for taking our dietary requirements into account.

Ahhh fair enough. Thought pig fat was usually used in jellies and sweets.
I am sure they are very nice but my people aren't allowed to eat the flesh of swine.
I think the inside of the cream egg used to use geletine to set it.
Many brands of chocolate use whey power which can contain rennet - a commonly used coagulating enzyme extracted from a calf's stomach after slaughter. White and milk chocolate are much more likely to fall into this category.
In May 2014, Cadbury was forced to recall two of its products in Malaysia after traces of pig DNA were found during a routine check.
While most of Cadbury's products are labelled as being suitable for vegetarians, some, like its Dairy Milk Daim bars for example, are not due to using rennet.
McDonald's Hot Chocolate is another product which is confirmed as containing animal rennet.

just because they saw a halal certificate they automatically thought chicken is slaughtered Islamic way and no more pork would be added into the eggs
Cadbury Easter eggs £1 each at Asda, Cadbury chocolate is so much better than Mars, Nestle, Lindt etc
VC, bluebells and WNM are probably participating in the boycott
Most of the medical pills contain animal extracts and/or gelatine.. It's just plain stupid to defame the branded products.
I steadfastly refuse to eat Hersheys chocolate .. mainly because it tastes like 5hit !

Cadbury’s Twitter account also had to defend complaints from morons that thought the word “Easter” had been removed from the front of their boxes.
I prefer all my animals slaughtered the old fashioned way like grampa did in the original Texas chainsaw massacre. Keeps em tender.

It has never bothered me if Easter eggs or sweets never had halal sign on it. As long as it says suitable for vegetarian that's fine by me

Where did it say that?
The most annoying thing about that article was finding out that bread and water are now halal as well
It's lefty liberal appeasement snowflake goody goody BBC brainwashing madness gone mad!
From now on I'm only eating rice crackers and drinking orange juice.
I don't like the methods used in Halal, I don't think that makes me a bad person. Why would I want to eat something sacrificed in the name of a god I do not believe in?
Not that killing them in other methods makes it much better. You're still killing to eat which is human nature. However I do try to eat a little meat as possible, when I do I try to ensure it's free range.

NO!!!
Nestle is by far the greatest chocolate. Munchies, Toffee Crisp, Quality Street, Kit Kat, Milky bar.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But the egg is nasty.
Let's be honest, Lindt is the best, but it's damn expensive. Personally I'd prefer one big Lindt egg than 5 cadburys though
