I remember a mate who was tucking into some crisps and didn't realise they contained pork, it was hilarious at the time for us. He was so ashamed though.

Then we asked him, suck on a willy or eat pork, he literally couldn't answer.

Same can be said for any red meat tbh, not to mention trans fats. I take it you're vegetarian and never eat things like butter, ghee, biscuits, doughnuts, crisps, pastry etc etc

Any sort of pork on a grill, preferably a thick cut chop or a pork shoulder smoked on a low slow heat for several hours. make sure you pay close attention to it by sitting nearby with a beer

On a serious point though agree with you regards to red meat... traditionally, although not forbidden Muslim were encouraged to eat red meat on an exceptional basis rather than the norm- which is what we see in modern times

Sniper I won't refute that it's practised by Muslims I just think people have clear disability when distinguishing between a Muslim (a human with free will) and Islam.

I'm not accusing you of it I'm just saying it's important to know the difference when studying certain issues.

My general opinion is that all religions have good and bad aspects to them to varying degrees. I don’t believe any religion or ideology is perfect.
Take Hinduism for instance (since Afridi mentioned it earlier), many devoted Hindus regularly bathe in the river Ganges since it is considered sacred within the religion. This is despite the fact that it has become one of the most polluted and dirtiest rivers around. Many Hindus believe that the river has healing and purifying properties, despite studies showing the opposite to be true. This is clearly a bad aspect of Hinduism since it is the faith that makes the followers choose a dangerous practice over the facts.

I'm sure there maybe more reasons to this practice continuing than what you have outlined- from a Hindi perspective. .. lefty (cricket board is a devout Hindu who could possibly answer it)

There might be but it's mostly practised out of a religious devotion. Would this practice continue if the people followed another religion which didn't have them believe that the river was sacred? If it was just cultural and not religious, then Muslim and Christian Indians would also be bathing there.
This is why I think KFC is partly (not entirely) wrong when he blames culture for some bad aspects of religion.

From a Muslims perspective the Quran and is 100% the word of Allah.

You can't pick and choose what you want to follow but It's also understandable people will faulter. Intention and sincerity is a huge part of the Islamic faith it's a struggle (jihad) but as long you try and full fill your obligations then you are on the right path.

I am Muslim because I don't have to cherry pick or follow contradicting laws. I also don't have to harm anybody or harm my self by fully believing in the Qurans message.

Any claim contrary to this can be easily argued.

Now I'm not sure about all Christians but I have encountered some Christians who pick and choose what to follow and that isn't for me.

If you are picking and choosing then that either means the practitioners thinks he/she is above God or he/she thinks God made a mistake.

In either case we be religious in the first place, why belong to a religion?

I have probs gone off on a tangent but I'm just offering my opinion on the all religions have good and bad claim.

Good and bad being subjective to a reasonable degree, anycase brought against Islam can be easily argued away.

I don't think Christians are quite so dogmatic about their book - there's more "wiggle room" for interpretation, and I believe no-one claims it to be the word of God himself. In fact it's not really one book, but a collection of books written over centuries - the bible used by a particular sect may differ by many books to that of another. Is this analogous with Hadith's in different sects of Islam?
