Alli's instincts infront of goal are fantastic: the composure, the shooting, the movement....
Wasn't too sure of him as a player when he was getting hyped last season, due to his sloppiness on the ball. But he's found his role and he's executing brilliantly. Playing as a second striker this season, but he'd excel even as the main striker with the qualities he's got.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually his composure isn't always the best because he misses a lot of sitters. Often the easier the chance the harder for him to convert it. He should be on over 20 goals already based on all his good chances he's missed.

His movement however is second to none. And he has that flair and vision to go with it so he can create as well.

He will be a world class player before long.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That description could describe Pogba too
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Except the world class bit. If we break a transfer fee record for a player, he should already be world class. Poggy lacks some of the description above, but he does have great vision and can pick a pass. He's just not worth what we paid.

Pogba will have world class hair and dabs.

Not sure about football.

Pogba doesn't even play in the same position as Alli does he? I don't see him running into the box getting into goalscoring positions.

Pogba doesn't have good movement, will never be the 20 goal a season player Alli will likely become (if not already that player)

I call him Pogbar for a reason lol.

Odd that your go-to mechanic for praising a player is putting down United players at his expense. Very odd indeed. You're a strange sort of supporter.

That's a MISS whichever way you dress it up, a close miss but still a miss.

Have you perhaps considered that tactics may be the issue with our players?

We've missed more big chances this season than any other side.

I'm in my thirties but I don't quite know of any tactics that involve missing amazing chances every week.

Hitting the bar isn't unlucky, it's inaccurate. May as well hit it 5 yards over, always thought this.

To be honest we are talking about fractions from another 40 goals for us this season in the league.

Won less trophies though for all his ability.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's only 20 isn't he? What do you expect?

posted on 8/4/17

When it comes to clear-cut chances - openings Opta deem an attacker should reasonably score - United have the worst conversion rate in the top flight. Mourinho's men have scored just 20 of their 64 big openings, 31.25 per cent.
.......
Worst part is if we scored another 10 goals and shared them out we would be title favourites. So many completely one sided draws.

posted on 8/4/17

All that money for players who can't finish. Can only blame yourselves.

Exactly Hafi. If we'd scored every time someone touched the ball with his foot, we'd have 100,000 goals the season. Been so unlucky.

You need that winning mentality ingrained at a young age or you end up with a bunch of Arsenals. OP is saying Rooney isn't good enough but hasn't really had a chance. Rooney has the best offensive passing game in your squad. He is a winner from day one and in the big games that counts. Dele Allison needs to prove this stI'll.

RVP was at Arsenal most of his career it didn't stop him winning United the league in his first season. But that aside I reckon you are purposely being retaaarded for the lols so carry on

Spurs really have something good atm, and they need to start winning things to show for it.

On many articles comparing individuals, I'm sure they would argue they have the best CB (Alderweireld) which you can't really argue with.

Pretty sure they wouldn't trade their fullbacks for any other sides, would probably only trade Wanyama or Dembele for Kante, so they've got it good there too.

Then the Ali > Pogba comes up regularly, and they would obviously rather keep Ali, and they wouldn't trade Kane for any other striker in the league.

I've also seen many claiming Poch as the best young manager in the world.

All in all, if they don't start winning trophies in the next couple of years, it would be a real disappointment, because that's when the likes of Ali, Kane etc would begin to question a move to a bigger team.

Who has missed the vast majority of these chances?

Are others in those goal scoring positions?

Surely as someone in his 30s, you can understand how tactics can play a role here

Zlatan missed most of the easy chances for us.
