Have you perhaps considered that tactics may be the issue with our players?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

We've missed more big chances this season than any other side.

I'm in my thirties but I don't quite know of any tactics that involve missing amazing chances every week.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Who has missed the vast majority of these chances?

Are others in those goal scoring positions?

Surely as someone in his 30s, you can understand how tactics can play a role here
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Martial and Rashford have missed a huge amount of chances. Just scored 2 goals from their last 48 efforts on goal.

Ibra has missed chances but has also scored a ton of goals.

Our tactics are making us create a huge amount of chances compared to LVGs United. Tactics aren't the reason our players are missing them.

Ali is definitely better than Pogba. Pogba is basically Ramsey with a better PR team and more Twitter followers

The comparison should be between Micky and Alli when Micky has played centrally

Alli has been very good this season but if we must compare the two Pogba has been the far better performer over the past 4 seasons before this and most would accept that over the course of their careers Pogba will be the better player
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why the fack would most accept that? Pure conjecture. Dele has only established himself as a top flight player in the last 20 months, coming from the third tier. Everyone knows the £90m price tag is a joke, Dele makes that fact even more tangible. Wouldn't swap him for Pogba if offered in a million years, and if I offered you a straight swap you know you'd rather have Dele even if you can't bring yourself to admit it on here.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I can't speak for every United fan but I'd be shocked if many would trade Pogba for Alli

Allis price tag is about as relevant here as Pogbas free price tag for Juventus was. If the current Alli was sold he would probably go for a huge fee most would think was too much.

I'd be shocked if many didn't. The mentality and work rate of Alli looks far superior to me. He actually comes across as more mature. On top of that he scores lots of goal which is hard. He's 4 goals short of Pogba's top flight goals within 20 months! Amazing really.

Alli is in a team that works to his strengths. Pogba is needs to be a final piece rather than a cog, and suffers for that. With the right players and system around pogba can be very good, but he doesn't quite have that right now. Whether down to tucking the right box at the time (Jose- creative mf, Ed- money making machine, and galictico he's always wanted) who knows.

For me though, I think we massively overspent (in football terms- not nessesarly commercially), and that price tag is round his neck now. Dragging him down slightly. He's a very good payer but not near the very best (Messi's, neymars etc), but now he has to try and prove he is, that's got to psychologically get to a player. Wasn't his fault we went mad with money.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Because he's playing as a second striker whereas Pogba is more of an all rounder.

He is a better passer than Alli
He's a better tackler
Wins more headers
Has more skill
Controls games better

People laughably think they've seen the best of Pogba but he's a thoroughbred. Once he settles he's gonna be a monster.

It is amusing to see people under rating Pogba.

Will be fun to see the backtracking in a season or two

One not so great season from Pogba and one good season from Alli

That's all it takes to change people's minds.

And I get called flaky.

What do you expect? Last season Hazard was one of the most ineffective players in the league. Now they're saying on the Chelsea board that he's the best player in the league and top 5 in the world.

Objectivity is lost on football fans.

It's just all about wumming on this site nowadays

I have my moments but I've spent years saying Klopp is a great coach, bigging up Alexis Sanchez and also saying how good Pochetino was.

What do I get in return? Opposition fans lining up to make out that Pogba was always a bum when just a few months ago practically every fan on here would have killed to have Pogba on the side.

But who'd have thought - a guy signed for a world record fee is struggling to live up to it while playing in a side trying very hard to find its identity after its 3rd manager in 3 years.

Just to balance it out. There's a filpside of overrating him too. He's a good player, no doubt. But let's not make him something he's not.

I never lost faith in Hazard and if Pogba was better at scoring goals he'd be played as far forward as Alli.

Both very good players but I really doubt a single Spurs fan would swap Alli and yet I suspect many at Utd would.

What about you Lambeau just for sh!ts and giggles?

I honestly wouldn't swap. I think that in the long term Pogba will prove the better player. Alli is limited in many parts of the game. Admittedly he's young and might improve his all round game, but based on the ability I've seen to date, I think Pogba has more talent.

As do I. I think he has better technique (Deles is improving though) and technically he's superior too which I would expect given the coaching but there is a mentality about Dele that makes me think he'll go as far as he wants. I could see Pogba getting fat and retiring in a tantrum at 31 or something for some reason.

Not remotely.

Our tactics are fine.

Our tactics aren't remotely to do with their ability to finish.

Theybget plenty of chances

Stupid comment tbh.
