I honestly wouldn't swap. I think that in the long term Pogba will prove the better player. Alli is limited in many parts of the game. Admittedly he's young and might improve his all round game, but based on the ability I've seen to date, I think Pogba has more talent.

As a Utd fan, I'm not sure. Kante over pogba 100%, alli?..he's been better this seaon, but not a direct replacement (we are not even sure where pogba should play), but long term I think poggy has more miles. Quality miles I'm not so sure, but his career will be better.

This.

May as well compare Alli to Coutinho or KDB

just seen alli's goal on MOTD, great finish, but please stop with the cringeworthy celebration you do with your hands

Alli is currently miles ahead of Pogba.

Pogba shone in a Juve team which dominated a poor league and still dominates said league without him. Not to forget he had the likes of Marchisio, Pirlo and Vidal holding his hand when he played there.

Alli plays with the likes of Eriksen, Dembele and Wanyama, decent players but nowhere near the quality of players mentioned.

Not saying he's gonna have a better career than Pogba but the latter has done nothing in England yet, whereas Dele Alli has sadly been tearing it up in the lower leagues and more importantly the PL in the short time he's played here

Is Alli miles ahead in passing, tackling and heading?

Nope. Why do I ask that? Because as both play in different roles on the pitch it's absolutely stupid to compare unless you want to compare their strengths.

Alli is miles ahead as a second striker

Pogba is miles ahead as a complete midfielder

posted on 8/4/17

but Pogba isn't a complete midfielder yet. Obviously, He goes missing in most second halves of games for United.

Pogba has a lot to prove in the next couple of years. I stand by that he is the worst most expensive player of all time. Ever.

Or mate and Mkhi, who he totally outclassed in his performances.

Pogba comparisons are obvious, both are (At least were) most effective in and around the box. This season Pogba has been awful in the final third, Alli has been one of the best in the league.

Unsure why Pogba is unable to finish simple chances, he loses the ball so much and he doesn't put much effort in. Hopefully he finds his form from 2 years ago because he was a match winner similar to Alli now, and that's what we need.

Utd fan here, wouldn't swap Pogba for Alli. Expecting the op to hurl insults at me just because I don't agree with him like he has with everyone. Pogba will be a world beater imo. Deal with it!

Utd are a mess, we won't see the best of Pogba until either Mourinho goes or something changes. right now, utd are simply dire. No different to under LVG where we had a few games where we looked good and turned a corner only for it to be a false dawn.

That's a big claim. Bit too early to call. Thing is that pogba was a bean counter over football signing, or at least in his price tag. About selling shirts, with a decent (and extremely marketable) footballer to back it up. Even in today's football game no idiot would think pogba the most expensive footballer in the world for footballing reasons.

Pogba wasn't bought as the best player in the world now (obviously)

But he was considered the most promising young talent in the game and if he blossoms into the player people think he'll be the fee won't look so mental. It'll never be a bargain but it was the only amount of money that Juventus would consider taking for one of their Crown Jewels.

If someone wanted to buy Alli - probably Spurs' crown jewel a club would have to pay huge money and I'm sure if he struggled to settle in the fans of that club (and other clubs) would be calling him a waste of money.

So much wrong with this post. Pogba never has or will be the best player in the world. We all know the reasons behind the fee, and the pitch isn't the main one.

Will he be a bargain? If he makes us the money we expect him to the money men will tell you yes he was.

Early to say for pogba. He has his price tag hanging over his head. That's got affect a player- especially if deep down (and even if obvious to everyone else, they are not worth the 'accolade'. It's the opposite for alli. Pressures off, he can just play as he wants he doesn't have to prove he's the best like pogba.

If we'd bough pogba for say 40m (a far more accurate price in footballing terms) he'd be more relaxed and performances would see that. I reckon we'd see him turning up against decent sides. He's trying to hard to prove his worth.

If he bothered to run with his man and put effort into the defensive side of the game is agree Baz Tard. However his work rate is substandard imo.

He doesn't ever have to be the best player in the world. Just because the fee is the highest, it doesn't mean that. It's likely that fee will be beaten this summer.

What he does need to be is to become the most complete midfielder in the world and he has every chance of doing that. Have faith Busby, you have a weird agenda against him. He's done alright this season. Like Jose, we'll likely see the best of them from next year.

Yeah, there's a bit of an argument that he's a a big time Charlie, a bit too good for that sort of work. You see it in his body language.

Another reason that makes me think he has a very l, very long way before he becomes anywhere near the best player in the world. He's a benifactor of the disease that is quality marketing in football these days.

Such a stupid way of looking at it.

Lukaku affects the game in a more positive way than Alli.

Is he miles ahead of him?

Pogba does a lot more on the pitch than Alli does. Apart from scoring goals what else does Alli do well? And then you'll say 'scoring goals is the most important thing in football'

Well, good, but that makes him a striker.
