They would have just hacked it with a kettle, or a shoe or anything else; there weren't actual computers actually doing anything. That's kind of the point, isn't it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And once free of the matrix and faced with trying to bring down the aliens using flying space ships and computers, Mr Copperbottom, union steward of the Textile Mill, would've seen his own head melt through incomprehension and hysteria. No amount of sticking a leech on that would cure him.

Glad you didn't say Terminator as the first movie is better than T2, T2 is a good movie though but still The Terminator is the daddy of them movies.

---------------------------

Original is indeed better, but there is still value in having a sequel. I don;t think it should never have happened.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

sorry but T2 is better. its like Alien 2, takes a slick horror and makes a brilliant action epic as a sequel.

Whilst "Aliens" is superb, "Alien" is the superior film cos of its originality

Plus Aliens has that annoying butch Mexican woman in it along with the big cigar chomping black officer, it's a bit cheesy

I prefer both originals.

It took great imagination and writing to come up with two such plots. The sequels just go boom boom, chase chase, boom, catchy one liner, boom, good guys win.

Dredd that came out in 2012 was brilliant, had an awful marketing campaign, though apparently they are making a tv series with the same people in charge, hopefully karl urban comes back

Maybe that was the simulation at first, but like any good piece of fictional software it grew and evolved allowing it's users to grow and evolve with it.

Maybe in the normal day-to-day run of things, it's someone's job to reset the software as they knock-off at the end of the day and the film is based on the day that they forgot.

Some films are great because there hasnt been a crap sequel.

Not many films where the 2nd (or 3rd, or 4th) film has been better than the 1st
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Whilst I generally agree with this theory, the 2 exceptions to the rule are Aliens and Terminator 2 which I thought were even better than the original films.

Just saw the announcement of a Dredd TV series

I'm not too hopeful that Karl Urban will be reprising his role as Dredd though which is a shame as he absolutely fecking nailed it.

Sequel of Gladiator would have been epic. Also Chronicles of Narnia shouldn't have ended.I would have liked two more sequels after Dark Knight Rises.

Also sequels of Paul Mart Cop and more sequels of Back to the Future should have had more than 3 parts.

I like T2 but find The Terminatior to be a better movie, it's man v machine as opposed to machine v machine, plus John connor is a right litte douchebag

Prefer Alien to Alien 2 however think Alien 2 is also brilliant, interesting to watch what 2 different directors do with a film, also John Hurt is one of the greatest actors ever.

On Star Wars a new Hope v Emipre, Empire for me is far far better, George Lucas directed a new hope and while he is a very good producer he's not a good director and that comes across when you see the difference between the 2 movies.

Irvin Kerchner.

Made one of the best ever sequels in Empire and one of the worst ever in Robocop 2

I enjoyed Robocop 2 - I assume it had been made to parody the original; watch it with that thought in mind, you'll enjoy it more.
