Went to bed last night after texting my daughter. Said goodnight, and love you. Woke up this morning to this news and my first thought was that's 19 families that won't get to say goodnight and I love you to their loved ones again.
So sad. So tragic. So pointless.
My thoughts and prayers go to each and every single person affected by this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Totally
Wow, 59 injured and 22 dead. Absolutely horrid news, and I'm guessing mostly kids lives have been taken. So heart breaking.
Can't believe what I've woken up to. Just the definition of cowardly and evil.
My niece and sister in law were at the concert and are alive. My thoughts go out to all the families who have lost loved ones.
Tragic.

if people are going to goad Kung Fu into reacting then what do they expect when he does react. Happens everytime. The same posters everytime thinking they're slick with comments such as "KFC in 3...2...1, No doubt KFC will be here spouting his usual anti west agenda".
It's like poking a stick at someone repeatedly then acting bemused, surprised and shocked when that person reacts.
If people wanted this thread to remain politics free then look at the people that initially tried to take it off track
FYI, this thread became political before KFC arrived. Alasnomoresmithandjones first mentioned KFC then KFC responded to him and Robb wrote "Kung Fu is here, killed more threads than a fire at Primark"
Problem with threads like these are this is the internet where everyone has a view and everyone seemingly is in a rush to get recognition and props for their comments to boost their sense of worth rather than to just post "RIP" and leave the thread.
RIP threads cannot be kept to just that because people just type before they think and the whole thread goes off track. Then they act shocked when the thread goes way off topic. EIther ban these threads or accept what will ensue if you publish them.
I await some smartass to ignore the majority of post and respond with "So we cant post our condolences for the deceased?" Yes by all means do it but we all know people on here cannot keep it to just posting condolences because right from the offset they are look to get one up on each other in this warped online fued they have with each other. No self control whatsoever from people on here.
Lastly.. I'm saddened to wake up to this news. Its heartbreaking to see people's innocent loved ones have been killed or injured. It makes you think where is this horrible world heading to when you are not safe in a concert. Appreciate your life people and take care of your loved ones

If at least every single man and woman on this thread didn't think that after it was established it wasn't a balloon then I'd be shocked.
I look at it like this...
Terrorists of any faith are like football hooligans. They technically support the same club as a football fan but they bring shame to that club and the vast majority of supporters of that club would never be hooligans. They would cast out those hooligans and I hope whatever faith this bomber is cast out him (if he's still alive) and his kind because they bring great shame to said religion
I know the protocol is to 'not let them win' and carry on as normal, but my Mrs is going to see Take That on Monday at Sheffield Arena and I'd be more than happy if she decided against going.

Of course it matters who did it. We're on a thread where minute by minute more and more shocking events came to light and it's natural to speculate on who did it.
I have i hatred for Kung Fu and would gladly go for a drink with him and break some bread.
But when things like this happen the world is beginning to realise that we're facing a threat where nothing is sacred.

It will happen again until there is a complete reset in politics and diplomacy.
There will be retaliation by us, they will retaliate, then the cycle begins all over again.
If we want to stop this happening again, we need to look at our good "buddies" in the region, you know the ones the US just sold 100s of billions of weapons to

I'll be honest, I was a little worried going to Thaialand, not just the bomb fear factor, but the culture dangers you hear of.
Soooo glad I went and experienced there, never seen anything like it.
Terrible waking up to learn more about the incident this morning. I know two groups of people that were there. One of the groups were unharmed, but one of the girls in the other group (my old next door neighbour) is in hospital having had a bolt removed from her leg and her mate is missing. Just shocking.
I am just glad that I am past going out clubbing, as I wouldn't fancy going out in such busy and tight environments right now.
Someone on twitter apparently warned of the attack before it happened.

Yeah there is the element that can't just never go anywhere in fear of it happening to you, and I'd still go to football games at OT even though it could happen there.
But my sister was there last night with my two little cousins, 10 year old twin girls, and they're a mess today all 3 of them. Our family has a mass whatsapp group chat (terribly annoying most of the time) which was going crazy last night, waiting to hear from my sister that they were all okay was distressing.
Couldn't imagine how horrible it would be to be to not get through to them or find out that one or all of them were not coming home.
I wouldn't tell my Mrs not to go to Take That on Monday, but if she has any doubt and doesn't fancy it then I wont be arguing.

if people are going to goad Kung Fu into reacting then what do they expect when he does react.

Superb post.
Truth be told, their reactions tell you more about them.
When bad things happen, you can quickly tell who the decent human beings are by their reactions.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with assuming it's an Islamic terrorist when things like these happen.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Decent people offer their condolences and move on.
I am pretty sure whoever perpetrated this crime against humanity did not stop the people leaving the concert to ascertain their religious leanings before killing them.

Why does it matter though who done it though? The fact is regardless of whoever performed this atrocity, ------
It matters so we can look at ways to stop it happening again.

Why does it matter though who done it though? The fact is regardless of whoever performed this atrocity, it is an atrocity and a tragedy, my thoughts are with the people only, i couldn't care less about the terrorist(s) they're not even worthy of my thoughts.
You running your mouth off and spouting $hit about Islam or whatever religion is exactly what they want, to divide and push people further apart. Regardless of whether they're all fake religions or not, instead of you mourning the dead, you and KFC are now arguing and playing tit-for-tat and slugging it out. Which is exactly one of the things a terrorist wants, so all you are doing is conforming and giving them what they want.

I know the protocol is to 'not let them win' and carry on as normal, but my Mrs is going to see Take That on Monday at Sheffield Arena and I'd be more than happy if she decided against going.
