terrorist attacks wouldn't drive support for right wing parties if the left wing ones actually grew some balls and get their heads out the sand.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe we could just stop blowing other countries back to the Stone Age. Might work.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
seriously st fu, so manys try to justify this stuff.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It happens all the time, if it turns out to be terrorists, they'll start blaming Blair and Bush. Kung Fu is forever using these two as an excuse.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is there an issue with blaming those two?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is how it normally goes.
I don't agree with them cutting peoples heads off bit if it weren't for Blair.........
That type of response looks like they're condoning these atrocities. There's no ifs and buts when you're murdering people.
The sad thing in cases like these is that with blood still on the walls people will rush to justify the actions of the terrorist rather than actually be angry at what happened.
A peculiar reaction
Someone thrown 30 feet from the blast.
Had to have been quite a bad explosion which is a bad sign for the eventual number of fatalities.
Nice to see so many people using events so fresh that absolutely no real information can be given for points scoring.
There are people missing friends, children and siblings. That is far more important than your own narrow judgements of the world.

"“In Dying to Win Robert P@pe presents the findings of the first comprehensive database of every suicide terrorist attack in the world from 1980 until today. Discrediting widely-held misconceptions on suicide terrorism, he creates for the first time a clear psychological, sociological and strategic profile for combating suicide attacks.
The data show that there is little connection between suicide terrorism and Islamic fundamentalism, or any one of the world’s religions. In fact, the leading instigators of suicide attacks are the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka, a Marxist-Leninist group whose members are from Hindu families but who are adamantly opposed to religion. This group committed 76 of the 315 incidents, more suicide attacks than Hamas.
Rather, what nearly all suicide terrorist attacks have in common is a specific secular and strategic goal: to compel modern democracies to withdraw military forces from territory that the terrorists consider to be their homeland. Religion is rarely the root cause, although it is often used as a tool by terrorist organizations in recruiting and in other efforts in service of the broader strategic objective."

It's not an excuse. There can be no excuse.
What there have to be, however, are serious and concerted attempts to understand where terrorist groups come from, how and why they are formed, how they recruit and operate, and why the people they recruit commit such terrible acts.
Such academic attempts have demonstrated repeatedly that Western interventionism *has contributed to* the creation and expansion of Islamist militant and terrorist groups, and has been used very successfully as a recruiting tool both in the Middle East and in radicalisation across the West.

Another stupid comment. You have people BORN IN THE UK who are radicalized. Stopping any bombing isn't going to stop this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not about religion.
It's about these countries being reduced to rubble and yes they then radicalise people.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It about religion you say?
So when they yell "allah ahkbar" or whatever, it had nothing to do with religion?
You are disgusting.

Kori Ali Muhammad shot 16 rounds in 90 seconds in the shooting spree on Tuesday, said Police Chief Jerry Dyer.
He shouted "God is greatest" in Arabic when arrested but this was a hate crime not terrorism, Mr Dyer believed.
Mr Dyer added that Tuesday's attack "has nothing to do with terrorism in spite of the statements that he [Kori Ali Muhammad] made".
"He did clarify that the reason he had made that statement was that in the event that anything did happen to him that he was in fact pledging his allegiance to God for protection."

So yeah shouting Allahu Akbar doesn't mean it has anything to do with religion.
If a Muslim does something for religious reasons they'ed tell you they are doing it for God like every other person belonging to a religion.
Allahu Akbar wouldn't be a way in which a Muslim would announce they are doing something for God.
