So what's the latest, are we looking at terrorism here?

Death toll?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Just 'a number of people have died' line from the police.

Possible terror incident.

If this is a terrorist attack by people of darker skin from a foreign land then the timing is particularly suspect.

Just as the country appears to be waking up to the Tories awful policies that are often hid behind a wave of xenophobia this happens
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, Theresa May and her people set this whole thing up even though they were gonna walk the election anyway

This site has some freaks and geeks on it
----------------------------------------------------------------------

They certainly aren't going to walk anything.

Don't believe everything the mainstream media tells you.

They were wrong wth brexit, Clinton and they have a strong chance of being wrong this time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Strong chance of being wrong? LOL deluded.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah heard the same with trump and brexit. We shall see.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You said a strong chance, this ain't France, the Tories will kick asss.

The west regularly bombs the Middle East.

A couple of days before London which everyone lost there minds about the west bombed and killed 200 civilians.

Spot on 8bit

Btw Stretty the reason Trump and Brexit were surprising is that there's more people who are right wing than the polls suggest. That will not suddenly swing in this election

We helped create those war zones.

No military action in the Middle East ever justifies a bomber deliberately blowing up a bomb outside a gig where thousands of kids are coming out of.

In a navel gazing rush to blame our own government it ends up diluting the real anger which should be for the evil people who did this

terrorist attacks wouldn't drive support for right wing parties if the left wing ones actually grew some balls and get their heads out the sand.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Maybe we could just stop blowing other countries back to the Stone Age. Might work.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
seriously st fu, so many s try to justify this stuff.

The point is the Islamist groups are targeting total warfare. They want to see hardline, militarist administrations in place in the West, and Western intervention in the Middle East.

Their stated aim is to create conditions that would see a 'final' armed conflict between the 'Muslim world' (which doesn't actually exist) and non-believers.

It isn't a stretch to suggest terrorist groups target particular situations such as run up to elections but it is however dumb as feck to suggest the government actively seeks it.

Another stupid comment. You have people BORN IN THE UK who are radicalized. Stopping any bombing isn't going to stop this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It's not about religion.

It's about these countries being reduced to rubble and yes they then radicalise people.

It makes more sense for terror groups to rally support for left wing governments who don't shut doors on their ability to infiltrate countries and cause chaos and instability
------------------------------

Several problems with your thinking, aside from the fact that it's plain wrong:

1) Western intervention is good for recruitment - it causes mass suffering and brings people on side. Not a Mid East phenomena. See Khmer Rouge membership increases as a result of the US's Operation Menu (carpet bombing)

2) These radical groups thrive when the countries they reside in get smashed up - they depend on the chaos caused by a power vacuum.

It happens all the time, if it turns out to be terrorists, they'll start blaming Blair and Bush. Kung Fu is forever using these two as an excuse.

They want to create divison, I'm just disputing the thing about timing. what election was the Westminster attacker trying to influence, or all the attacks in Germany, or France way before the election, or Belgium. it is just a sickness that is deep rrooted in our society now, and will probably have to put up with for a long time to come.

1 billion children could die out there and it still wouldn't justify someone using that as justification to do what happened tonight.
